I was ok with the crying and ice cream eating. It was the fat shaming of other mafia players’ wives that crossed the line for me. -

Shame Leipsic’s career is now in limbo because of a private leaked conversation. I don’t condone or agree with his choice of words, but do have some level of sympathy of him. Media and online crusaders will now to try to ostracize him when he’s obviously not a unique circumstance or character. Shows more about their character than his imo.

What a complete turnaround from the previous 3 seasons. To go from bottom dwellers to cup champs in such a short span is an incredible feeling. Hats off to @Patrick Kane for a hard fought series and formidable roster to challenge my own. Thank you to @Nail as well for providing all the sims for the league. Calling myself a cup champion in 4.0 and CSL is an incredible feeling and would not have been possible without him. I would trade this cup run in if it meant another 10 years of sims. For now, we will soak in this bittersweet moment and celebrate with the city of Atlanta. Atlanta Thrashers Team Awards: Team MVP: Pavel Datsyuk Top Goalscorer: Ilya Kovalchuk Best Defensemen: Andrei Markov Top Rookie: Artem Anisimov Unsung Hero: Alexei Kovalev Playoff Warrior: Alexei Kovalev It’s not good bye...it’s see you later.

Thank you, Nail.

Today, Atlanta completed 1 move before the recent trade deadline with the Chicago Blackhawks. Tomas Kaberle was swapped in exchange for Andrei Markov as both general managers were on a quest to bring new elements to their defense. We thank @Patrick Kane for the negotiations and wish the Hawks luck in their inevitable playoff run. Though Atlanta's phones were busy today, this ended up being the only move for the franchise today. With the recent acquisitions of Alexei Kovalev, Tyler Kennedy, and Andrei Markov, the Thrashers are feeling confident of their chances moving forward as the playoff race heats up. The East is once again a fierce dogfight and momentum must be kept in the forward direction. Atlanta Thrashers Ilya Kovalchuk - Pavel Datsyuk - Alexei Kovalev Johan Franzen - Artem Anisimov - Alexander Radulov Nikolai Kulimen - Matthew Lombardi - PA Parenteau Fredrik Modin - Tyler Kennedy - Mattias Weinhandl Andrei Markov - Paul Martin Ossi Vaananen - Ilya Nikulin Ron Hainsey - Denis Grebeshkov Pekka Rinne Jose Theodore

Last night/Early morning, the Atlanta Thrashers completed a transaction with the St. Louis Blues that saw Slava Kozlov, Tony Martensson, and a 2011 pick be exchanged for Alexei Kovalev and Tyler Kennedy. The objective of this move was to add an additional scoring punch and veteran presence in Kovalev, who will be given an early opportunity to play a top 6 role as well mentoring role for the younger Russians on our squad. Tyler Kennedy will be tasked with filling in for Martensson as the team’s 4C and perhaps help out on a struggling PK unit as well. Looking forward ahead of this year’s deadline, Atlanta is very satisfied with the progress shown by the team thus far after heavy spending the past 2 offseasons. Atlanta goes into the TDL feeling cautiously confident about our chances, but still remain open to any moves needed to improve the roster as the East is once again a dogfight. Atlanta Thrashers Ilya Kovalchuk - Pavel Datsyuk - Alexei Kovalev Johan Franzen - Artem Anisimov - Alexander Radulov Nikolai Kulimen - Matthew Lombardi - PA Parenteau Fredrik Modin - Tyler Kennedy - Mattias Weinhandl Tomas Kaberle - Paul Martin Ossi Vaananen - Ilya Nikulin Ron Hainsey - Denis Grebeshkov Pekka Rinne Jose Theodore

Going into the offseason, the goal was to improve goaltending, defense, and team depth. On paper, this looks to be accomplished with the trade acquisitions of Hainsey, Vaananen, Rinne, Kaberle, Grebeshkov, Kulimen, Komarov, and Radulov, and FA acquisitions of Anisimov, Modin, and Brylin. On paper, this is a strong team. Only sims can tell the story though. Atlanta Thrashers Opening Season Roster: Ilya Kovalchuk - Pavel Datsyuk - PA Parenteau Johan Franzen - Artem Anisimov - Alexander Radulov Leo Komarov - Matthew Lombardi - Nikolai Kulimen Fredrik Modin - Tony Martensson - Sergei Brylin ex: Trent Hunter Tomas Kaberle - Paul Martin Ossi Vaananen - Ilya Nikulin Ron Hainsey - Denis Grebeshkov Pekka Rinne Jose Theodore

Could look to move Tony Martensson before Wave 3 tomorrow. His scouting report is 3C/2C/TWF and can handle his own on the PK, but have quality center depth this year and could look to move him to a team needing a middle six C for better opportunity. Could also look to move/swap a LD in Vaananen or Hainsey for RD for roster balance before wave 3 as well (could also get Martensson involved?) If not, we are satisfied with how the offseason played out and look forward to the season!

Think that was only my 3rd game and first time as mafia. Good times

Welcome Artem, Fredrik, and Jose! Each was our top priority in their respective positions for FA and add quality depth to our roster. Atlanta waives Stephane Veilleux and sends down Kyle Chipchura for the time being.

GG! Solid play by the town. Thanks for hosting, Ceres.
