Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

It’s The Walking Dead, not The Talking Dead @MeanSeanBean

That JV thread...oof. Some truly scary ideologies being spouted in there.

@Dazzle The victim-blaming.

Tough to pass judgment until the investigation is complete. They will have access to all the text conversations and social media interactions between the two. Probably will be very little evidence from inside the hotel room at this point though. Will probably be more of a he said she said kinda thing that will end in a settlement and Virtanen on another team.

It's my five year CDC anniversary.
-
I been lurking 'round these parts tonight so I thought I'd drop you a line. I hope you are well, my friend.
-
Resurfacing just to say that for the first time in a very long time, I'm proud to be an American.

Looking for recommendations for a good way to display pucks. Either cases or attractive ways to stack them up. I have about 20.

Would you do a Zoom video chat with other CDCers?
A friend of mine did something like that tonight with folks from a facebook group for a podcast they all follow. She's "known" them for years, but this is the first time they've all spoken somewhat face-to-face. They had a great time and talked for hours! Might be a fun thing for folks to do here.

my grandson has that on his computer and plays games with people all over the usa and canada. he has gone twice on holidays and visited with those friends. once back east in the usa and once to california. i think my ugly face would turn most people off. we already have a written chat line now.
how much does renting a box at rogers cost per game. how many people does one hold and how much per person would it cost. if i lived in van, i’ld be up to going.

@goalie13 Shhhhh, you're ruining it!
@-AJ- My friend was worried about that, because the point of the chat wasn't actually to talk about the podcast. She said folks just talked about their lives and families, how they're coping with the pandemic, etc. They had a great time. I think it would be fun to have like a video (or audio) chat GDT type thing for some of these classic games they're showing.
@smithers joe I'd throw down for a box at a game! I am always trying to meet more Canucks fans. Tough here in California.

Insert woe is me, "goodbye cruel forum" status here.

@Wilbur it tends to come after one or two bad losses. Too many broken ankles jumping on and off the bandwagon.

I suppose if a person gets upset because they got blowback from people being called "homers" whilst on a fan forum.... maybe its not the right place for some people. I was in Boston a few years ago and thought about wearing a Canucks scarf, but then decided to live. We're all safe on CDC in comparison.
Glad you're sticking around C

Happy birthday, Joe! I hope you've been having a great day. Lots of love from California

Will you be running "create a player" again this season?
-
I hope so, if you are @Zhukini I'd like to sign up again

Are there any foods you disliked as a kid that you now enjoy as an adult?
For me it's Brussels sprouts, spinach, and black licorice.

Is no one going to wish Loui happy birthday :-/

@Ghostsof1915 Sutter wore it in his first year here before Loui came. Earlier than that, Raymond wore it for 5 years and he had a couple of pretty good years early on. Lumme definitely wore it best as a Canuck though.

Congratulations @AppleJack and @Twilight Sparkle!

Feeling sad on your birthday sucks.

Today seems like as good a day as any to drown my sorrows in alcohol. Cheers, mates.

booze never solved any problem, i know i’ve tried it, so many times. it might let you drown them for awhile but they are still there when your sober, except now you got a splitting headache. i quit when i got sick and tired of being sick and tired.. i’ve found if you sound out your troubles to a friend, they don’t seem so bad.

At the NHL All Star fan fest right now and headed to the game tonight. Rocking my Petey jersey. Represent!

I absolutely loathe flying, but I'm starting to get used to the jet-setting lifestyle. I can dig it.

As someone who makes a living at the pointy end of those things I could come up to you and say all the clichés about air travel and how safe it is, so I won't.
This is one the most dangerous thing one could ever do...I mean, sitting in a metal tube weighing hundreds of tons, flying at over 500MPH, in the most extreme environment on Earth where no human could ever survive, certainly requires an enormous leap of faith.
Seriously though, airplanes are marvellous technical machines, with so much redundancy and so much reliabilty that hardly anything abnormal will happen. They're also operated by some of the most highly trained professionals in the world.
I've done it for almost 20 years, love it and still struggle to imagine an alternative career for me.
You WILL always be fine on them things

The whole Boston College hockey team is also staying at my hotel. What a time to be alive.
