  1. Congrats on the career, Janny! He'll always be one of my faves. Great blue collar type of player who'd fearlessly stick up for himself and his teammates.
  2. @-Vintage Canuck- @Stamkos Thanks you guys! I'm real excited!
  3. Logged on to pay respects to the late, great @ShakyWalton. Was always a pleasure speaking with him.
  4. There is so so little I want in life but even those small things I do want seem impossible to attain.
  5. This is from a few years ago. Sometimes I miss having long hair and wearing bows.
  6. I am actually three young boys sitting on each other's shoulders wearing a long trench coat.
  7. ...because it's something I want?
  8. Please disregard the fact that I'm drunk. You are very attractive physically and from a personality perspective. I sincerely hope you meet a girl (or guy, idk your persuasion) and fall in love and have a great life together. You're my favorite CDCer, please don't change You are amazing just the way you are. I am not religious but I do pray you find someone. You're a good guy. I hope the universe blesses you.
  9. Today seems like as good a day as any to drown my sorrows in alcohol. Cheers, mates.

Take out all of your negative energy in the weight room. Thank me in 6 months.

booze never solved any problem, i know i’ve tried it, so many times. it might let you drown them for awhile but they are still there when your sober, except now you got a splitting headache. i quit when i got sick and tired of being sick and tired.. i’ve found if you sound out your troubles to a friend, they don’t seem so bad.

Booze is a fun way to unwind and unravel, but it's never solved any problem of mine beyond consuming my money, lowering my inhibitions, and hurting my liver/head.

That said, I'm looking forward to having some beers while watching the Nucks game tonight.

Hope you aren't too hungover today!

  10. I worry that as a single woman pushing 30 who doesn't want kids I'll never find anyone to marry. Sooooo many men (all of them it seems) want kids or already have them. Best I can hope for is a single dad post divorce, since there's virtually no single guys my age. That's not the life I want to live. But I don't want to be alone.
  11. At the NHL All Star fan fest right now and headed to the game tonight. Rocking my Petey jersey. Represent!

  12. I absolutely loathe flying, but I'm starting to get used to the jet-setting lifestyle. I can dig it.

As someone who makes a living at the pointy end of those things I could come up to you and say all the clichés about air travel and how safe it is, so I won't.B)

This is one the most dangerous thing one could ever do...I mean, sitting in a metal tube weighing hundreds of tons, flying at over 500MPH, in the most extreme environment on Earth where no human could ever survive, certainly requires an enormous leap of faith.

Seriously though, airplanes are marvellous technical machines, with so much redundancy and so much reliabilty that hardly anything abnormal will happen. They're also operated by some of the most highly trained professionals in the world.

I've done it for almost 20 years, love it and still struggle to imagine an alternative career for me.

You WILL always be fine on them things:)

Alright, moving up from Gene Principe!

...I guess that's not much of a feat necessarily.

  15. There are people here at Coyotes/Oilers wearing Kassian, Larsson, and Lucic jerseys. Never thought I'd see the day.

It was a young child in the Lucic sweater so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. The Larsson jersey was a grown man (?!).

  16. Apparently I'm staying at the Oilers hotel in Arizona. Saw Gene Principe in the lobby.

  18. What prospect do we have that's ready to play better than him now? I am not worried about his pay although I think his term is too long.
  19. From twitter: Name the best NHLer that shares your initials. Mine is Gordie Howe. What's yours?

Netflix always finds a way to lure me into watching crappy movies. This was one of them.

  21. My plans for today consist entirely of drinking alcoholic eggnog and reading self-help books. Not quite how I envisioned my 20s.

  22. I can't believe I am 28 years old listening to (and loving!) this stuff. To put it in perspective, they are my friend's daughter's absolute favorite band...she's 11.
  23. Yes, although he didn't have to put in much effort to do so.
