It was great because I get a team of players I want to watch, not a bunch of sissies. Really though, which of us wouldn’t have been able to simply spend house money on FAs to plug roster holes partly made by our own age-gap replaceathon and draft pick giveaway JB initially went on here? I mean, it’s hardly exec of the year work to spend house money to fix your problems. Slow clap, mostly for entertainment purposes, not for managerial prowess.

The BBC is as corrupt as anything I can think of and a covert enemy of the people, in my opinion. -

Looks like my 5 seconds of research didn’t get me very far, nor should it, and it’s turns out I picked a site funded by Tucker. Not really what I was going for, for sure. It does show how little I follow it all, that I didn’t know that at face value - something I’m kind of proud of. We have our resident consumers of the narratives doing the bidding of the globalist agenda in here, claiming the news is fine. I wish I had more time to frame this issue. -

I don’t watch any of it. Try this link. https://dailycaller.com/2017/06/14/for-chris-cillizza-here-are-five-fake-stories-cnn-pushed/ my 5 second search on DuckDuckGo produced it. Don't even both trying to use Google to find anything that isn’t somehow anti Western. -

A puck is heavy and has relatively sharp edges, and it’s cold. Guys get hit in the face all the time in every league out there. Hockey is awesome. CNN is cancer. -

No!!! In 1983, I think, my dad showed me this new cassette and said, “now this... is rock and roll, listen.” And I did. Soundscape of my youth. Heartbeat City. Our lives are benchmarked by the passing of our childhood idols. Every year, the gravity of my mortality and the inching towards that horizon gets more and more heavy on my mind. Rick was one ugly dude, but his chicks were unbelievably hot. I think he’d say he had a good run. Thanks for the soundtrack of my youth, Rick. -
Used to be it was, “it’s not who you know, but who you blow.” Today it’s, “... what you blow.”

Dude, I don’t know you from Adam, but get off the vapes, now. Pull up your socks. Get that pacifier out of your mouth and get uncomfortable. Please quit, man. Reading what Deb’s relatives are going through is similar to what my beautiful wife tells me about from her experiences at work as a pharmacist. Others in the industry have the same conclusions about vaping. The self-induced hell this man is enduring must resonate with anybody who has ever experienced loss like this. It’s a gut-puncher of a read, this thread, and one of the bravest things I’ve ever read on here. Deb’s cousin is a rock and doing this for guys just like you. Make it count, man! Do the hard thing. Not to single you out, sorry, but you vapers need to sort yourselves out, right now.

Pathetic. Each and every time any person has ever made a decision to inhale anything at all, was a Darwinian moment for them. Today, there’s absolutely no excuse for ignorance. If you are inhaling anything at all other than what a wolf might be, you’re an idiot and your genes don’t deserve to make it. The drain these puckers put on the rest of us, not just on our systems, but emotionally. Whenever I see a person sucking on one of these soothers, I just want to do the right thing for humanity and smash it into their skull as to just end the cycle right there. There should be zero tax-funded medical accommodation for decisions so costly to tax payers. ICBC has laws like that for gross negligence, maybe the medical system should as well. Whatever. I’d drag my kids off into the hills and chain them to a tree if they started doing this. It’s among the weakest, most pathetic examples of what our species has become. Vapers, you suck. Smokers, you’re even worse. Love, anybody who loves you.

(OFFICIAL) Leafs sign Mitch Marner
189lb enforcers? replied to Pears's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Stupid Leafs. All their stupid stars. Bunch of Uber jerks. Should be more of a team. Dump a few stars, that’s how you build says only the jealous, ugly step sister-rival. Good kid. Great player. Great signing. Canuck fans whose team is lacking stars suggesting that’s not “how you build”. Hahaha. Ya, all part of the Plan; find lesser players so they don’t give cap issues, have a “balanced” team. All part of the plan here. We’d pass on or trade studs like TO’s lol, sure. I hope the Leafs make a massive trade and win the Cup just because would be awesome to witness the melt downs by rival teams who don’t understand why the Leafs are media darlings, thus basic economics. I’ve always hated the Leafs, but now I cheer them as devils advocate because of the insanity I see here. -
Has the Western World Lost Moderate/Centrist Politics?

Such conviction. I boil down the West’s LvR as the equality of outcome fixing and the cost of it. I am totally against anybody asking asking me to literally pay for their lifestyle choices or their ancestors arriving late to the buffet, which I’m somewhat expected to subsidize so we can all have the same starting line. Ignoring basic facts, yes. Ignoring biology, especially. Ignoring crime rates and what is happening in Europe is something I especially notice on this board. But like Gump, I am not a smart man, but I know enough to not rely on social media or MSM for “facts”. I can’t figure out what is real on TV anymore. Even the commercials are messages. It’s shaping sides for us monkeys to choose. -

Maybe not my finest rant, but every blabbering idiot deserves a space or a post to reveal just how little we really know, but with conviction, damn it! I am actually a big-Time tree hugger at heart. I’m not about to listen to someone who fails to even recognize the scale they contribute to something daily - let’s take Surry’s Water Treatment Center for instance as being a bigger, nastier skank of an ecological footprint than 99% of all the towns in Northern BC combined- tell me anything at all about environment-anything. Screw that. I get irate when I'm in the bush and see some Albortion tourist, or especially those &^@#ing lower mainland dicks, come into our bush and make a mess of it, leaving dirt bike trenches off-trail, burn garbage, cans, whatever, behind. I also hate the pulp mills and the O&G Industry, but I’m not enough of a hypocrite to lecture you to stop doing something because I’m sat by my gas fireplace on my IPad thing, mined out of some virgin forest somewhere. I drive a 550hp car. Everything I do burns fossil fuel. What can I say about environmental activism with a straight face? My mom once told me, “You shouldn’t should on people”. Did David Suzuki have a mom too? PS KOS is one of my favs on here for different reasons. -

I’m just trying to use my hand-me-down senses, like my eyes, from trilobites, etc., to perceive my environment, let alone the intentions of others. We don’t have to agree on everything. Personally, I see what was described once as what the Brown Shirts were, and other examples of conscripted volunteerism, to usher in a 1984-like tomorrow by the types of antics I see groups like ANTIFA using. Rat out your enemy or brother for wrong think. We see it all over the place now. I could elaborate, but I know it’s not going to be worth the time in here. I see gun control becoming more of a thing and really question some of what I see as the narratives out there, like Accountant Turned Sniper. I don’t know, but it’s possible that these are deep-state things. After JFK and 911, I don’t think “conspiracy theorist” is a negative moniker, nor is questioning the narratives in MSM. These things are possible. Remember, a population without guns is a population easily put under martial law, as we’ve seen in at least a few examples in the world. Globalism seems to have guns/disarmament and divisiveness as a MO. I question lots of the narratives out there. BLM is as much of a sham and play on words as the Wage Gap myth. Global Warming, lol. Try Glaciation and Pangea; the earth does it’s own thing, puny, narcissistic Humans. It’s not as simple as that, but maybe it gets a convo going and flushes out some easily refutable narratives, not that it’s an enjoyable position to take - one not defending the environment, which is a false equivalence anyways. Does anybody follow the new evidence steadily mounting which clashes with the Out of Africa Theory of human migration? That oughta get some interesting discussion generated somewhere, but the media message doesn’t like that kind of stuff. No interest. No good could come of it, narrative-wise, so it’s hushed. Wonder why? People seem to be so 100% addicted to MSM and the ridiculous puppet string-ideas that the decisiveness they are taught are successfully keeping generations of us distracted enough to keep us from noticing the 1984 which we are certainly heading for. Why is that? Where is critical thought these days? This is the hate-fact era. Are we any better than the book-burners of yesteryear? When did we become so easily led, misled and willing to be the useful idiots we now are, squabbling while the laws change, some by our own hand, which make us weaker as a group. The divisiveness isn’t accidental, it’s by design, but nobody seems to see it, they’d rather just play out the role they signed up for. That’s social engineering. So many videos and articles exist on that stuff, but they are getting harder and harder to find, but again, it seems Nobody is noticing that. I don’t get it. Left or Right. CNN or Fox. Black or Brown. Straight or Gay... it’s all the same corral people seem to just want to enter in so they can get their label and take up watch, of the other. We are being segregated. Divide and Conquer is an old game, but obviously effective. Some of our resident posters just scream pawn to me. They are completely lost to the sensory input and programming they’ve been receiving via social media/ MSM, whatever. Like any addict, try telling them that, no matter how good for them the truth might be. Programming Complete! This is NOT what our ancestors lived and died for, all the way back to the Cambrian. I hope everyone puts down their “news” outlets and goes out and perceives the world for themselves, with others, it’s the only way to wake up, IMO, for some. Meh, what do I know. I’d like to know wtf Deja vu is, not why cuckoldry is good for me. &^@# off, MSM, especially you CNN. -

I don’t know man, I agree with the message of the video. Its interesting how I think that you’re the one who is not getting it, but you’ll think the same of me. This is how politics has gone down since we started picking sides as monkeys or whatever. I can’t believe how others can think another way about somethings and know it’s mutual. We turn to despise and hate each other in here, not just the ideas. That’s kinda &^@#ed, but I don’t know how to fix it either. -
To the SE of Kamloops it was quite a show. I’d say it was maybe a lightning strike every 10 seconds for at least an hour. Very cool. Haven’t seen it like that in years. Especially in September.

Don’t mean to be a dick, KOS, we’re cool, but I know you heat your home with natural gas, and well, you know you are an end user of the resource as well as the rest of us consumers of this badness. Nobody wants a dirty climate or any other consequence of our evolution and industry, but until you bravely move away from your beloved, mega-polluter city to take up farming, stfu and don’t be a damn hypocrite like every other David Suzuki prick out there lecturing the rest of us about emissions - while boarding a jet. I don't like fracking or other nasty biz either, but guess what keeps your Canucks’s ice surface cold and their building warm? It’s all connected to the same industry. You are a consumer, not anything but. Never forget that. Humanity is a spec of filth on an ever-changing ball of magma and stardust. The day you start wearing a buckskin and sending me environmentally-safe smoke signals from some off-the-grid, zero emissions piece of land, I’ll listen to you as long as you never use a road, read a book, own a watch, go to school, watch a game... nothing. Lol Humans pollute, no way around it. What I get a kick out of is humans being duped into thinking they are somehow ‘a thing’ to this planet’s survival. We are but a blip on the geolocation time scale. The planet survived colliding with other planets and all manner of things, let alone ice ages. This global warming and environmental thing is cute in its packaging, but like I said, the second we learn of an Astroid heading our way, or even if a major volcanic event happens anywhere on the planet, do you think Al Gore and all the environmentalists will be even around to monitor emissions, etc? Its like people think we are the earth’s custodians during an endless run of stable climate, without even the slightest fear of the natural process built into this ball. Earthquakes and volcanism related to the changing deflections of past-glacial lands, complicating our guesses of plate tectonics are one thing, but we’re also expecting a bombardment of impacts from all sorts of extinction/younger Dryas-makers. You can almost bet that either the earth or the heavens will beat us to our own demise. Ha, it’s laughable to think how quickly our collective destruction and conservation efforts will be the very, very last priority for any living human staring down a bright light hurling our way in the sky or a volcano or a series of mega-earthquakes - each capable of releasing more bad into the environment than humans ever could, and overdue as far as the earth’s patterns are concerned. Take a think on that sometime. We have managed to exist in the one of the most stable times the planet has known, especially the mammals. At any moment we could be extinct, if not just be in for a real, actual climate change lol. I do like the idea of placing Richmond, Surrey, etc. Under a mile of ice though, but I digress, lol. The earth once boiled gold and diamonds to its surface and stratified minerals by precipitation. It’s even been covered in miles of ice several times. This is what earth does. Filling the Gulf of Mexico with oil is insanely bad... baddd, yes, but to the earth, this is nothing. Life has endured much... much worse. My rant is meant to say, humans are a blight on the planet, agreed, but hardly an obstacle for it. Earth’s 4.5 Billion year history laughs at our industries and clean-up efforts, compared to what its endured and, worse, its inevitable date with the pending supernova. When all the tree huggers, an affectionate moniker, live like we did tens of thousands of years ago, then I’ll at least show enough tolerance to let them finish their virtuous point, but I guarantee you that before humans like them give up their human nature, the earth will strike first, if not an extraterrestrial visitor is well-overdue for another rock fight. Either will take us to the brink before a plastic bottle island in the ocean does. Don't pollute, but don’t think the earth is going to die from it either. It will boil all Victoria’s sewers off and turn that into something a new life form will consume in another billion years! I don’t think We understand just how inconsequential we are to this planet or the universe. Meanwhile, sure don’t dump your engine oil into a river. Don’t do a lot of stuff. The earth will one day recycle all of us and every damn trace of us. Everything we made came from this earth and it will all go back to it, eventually, IMO. Maybe thats not the best bedtime story, but it’s how I see things going for us pathetic humans. Humans Being. -
[Speculation] Canucks all in for Jason Zucker

Ferland is, and will likely remain, better than Virtanen. Jake’s potential and ceiling is exactly that of a Firkland, minus the fists, IMO. From your comments, I can only assume that you haven’t watched much of Firkland, so this season should provide us with more than enough opportunity to revisit this. I agree with your assessment of JV and everything else you noted here, except for the suggestion that if/but JV can be a better player than Firkland. Jake will have to have a puck of a lot go right for him in consecutive seasons to be considered on par, let alone a better all-around player than Firkland, and that’s nothing against Jake either. I just hope Firkland doesn’t break his hand trying to impress his new team and fans and just plays playoff hockey as soon as the puck drops. We need a healthy roster all year! -

Camp weight is the weight that goes in the books. January is their true weight, but that’s never published. All men under 6’ are always 5’11, even if they are 5’8. Kinda funny. -
