Proof that Baertschi deserves to be in the NHL:
Here are Baer and Schaller's advanced stats on all categories including offense and defense.
Baer vs. Schaller (bold is greater)
G/60: 1.4 vs. 0.4
A/60: 0.8 vs. 0.8
A1/60: 0.5 vs. 0.7
A2/60: 0.3 vs. 0.1
PTS/60: 2.1 vs. 1.2
S/60: 6.6 vs. 5.3
oiGF/60: 3.1 vs. 2
oiGA/60: 3.1 vs. 3.4
CF/60: 61.3 vs. 54.1
CA/60: 53.2 vs. 64.8
C/60: 8.1 vs. -19.6
FF/60: 46.2 vs. 33.9
FA/60: 39.3 vs. 47.5
F/60: 6.9 vs. -13.6
CF%: 53.5 vs. -8
CF% rel: 10.4 vs. -13.6
FF%: 54 vs. 43.5
FF% rel: 10 vs. -9
Literally all of Baer's NHL Rate and Possession Metrics (Corsi and Fenwick) are on the positive side of the spectrum while pretty much all of Schaller's are worse or negative.

CF%: 53.5 vs. 59.7
CF% rel: 10.4 vs. 14.2

Leivo actually has the edge defensively, but Baertschi has the edge in scoring production. So far this season, Leivo's stats are significantly lower in comparison with the previous season.

Baer on waivers? I’m shocked. Him and Gaud were tearing up the pre-season together. Looked like they were gonna be part of our 3rd scoring line.

I thought we needed to score more goals across our lineup? Baer on our third line, or even our fourth line, could drive that line. Gaud, Baer, and Sutter is a good third line. Then, if a top six winger is having an off night (travel makes for tired legs) then Baer could move up for a game. Can Loui or Schaller do that?

I just wanted to thank all of the Canucks fans for the amazing career I've had. #blessed

Louis Eriksson (31) @ 6M for 6 more seasons or Evander Kane (25) @ 6M for 2 more seasons?

I was at the Hitmen vs. Oil Kings game. And I gotta say; Jakob Stukel looked really good. He goes hard to the net while having good hands and positioning, along with great offensive awareness and aggressive forechecking ability. Hustling every shift. He also assisted the game-tying goal to send it to OT. I'd say we have another prospect to watch out for.

Dear JB, please acquire Mikael Granlund! Thanks!

Play Jordan Subban at forward. He already has the skills and speed to be an elite offensive player in the NHL. Guds and Trym will stand up to anyone who dares mess with Jordan. That is, of course, if other players can catch the speedy future winger. Seriously, he would probably be the fastest and quickest skater in the league. Size ain't an issue when you're as fast and as agile as him. Plus his skills are tight. #EnterSubban #CallUpSeven #MichaelJordanSubban #Subban4Mayor ########ChoochooTrymTracks #AllGud #JaySouBan

Why is everyone judging William Lockwood on his size?
This kid is a COMPLETE player!
Not only does he have the skill and speed, this guy is physical!
^ Look at his hit on CHYCHRUN at 1:26.
He is like a physical Gaudreau.
UNDERRATED for sure.
Awesome pick JB. Well done.
