Proof that Baertschi deserves to be in the NHL:
Here are Baer and Schaller's advanced stats on all categories including offense and defense.
Baer vs. Schaller (bold is greater)
G/60: 1.4 vs. 0.4
A/60: 0.8 vs. 0.8
A1/60: 0.5 vs. 0.7
A2/60: 0.3 vs. 0.1
PTS/60: 2.1 vs. 1.2
S/60: 6.6 vs. 5.3
oiGF/60: 3.1 vs. 2
oiGA/60: 3.1 vs. 3.4
CF/60: 61.3 vs. 54.1
CA/60: 53.2 vs. 64.8
C/60: 8.1 vs. -19.6
FF/60: 46.2 vs. 33.9
FA/60: 39.3 vs. 47.5
F/60: 6.9 vs. -13.6
CF%: 53.5 vs. -8
CF% rel: 10.4 vs. -13.6
FF%: 54 vs. 43.5
FF% rel: 10 vs. -9
Literally all of Baer's NHL Rate and Possession Metrics (Corsi and Fenwick) are on the positive side of the spectrum while pretty much all of Schaller's are worse or negative.

@ForestFalcon These are numbers from last season. I didn't include the 7 games Schaller has played so far. Levio hasn't exactly played well other than that SO winner. Leivo isn't good enough to be on the Top 6 or PP.
@Pears 3rd best. And it's way too early in the season to use our current PK percentage of 92.6% since there's no way that's sustainable. I'd argue that our PP needs Baer more than our PK needs Schaller, since our PP is just at 14.6%. Beagle and Sutter do most of the heavy work on the PK anyways.

@Strombone That’s true, but it is important to have players who can play certain roles. You could get Baertschi in for someone like Leivo or Motte if you really wanted to, but for the time being until injuries happen, I’d rather not mess with Utica’s chemistry.
