  1. LMFAO ROFL hahaha, havent heard that in a awhile
  2. yeah same here. i like him more then horvat.
  3. crazy how some people think Juolevi has accomplished everything in the juniors already. he was only 17 and pretty much a rooking playing behind alot of great players. yes he's won everything and that is good, but he played on great teams also. let's see how he does as a junior sophomore and try to repeat the same success he had a year ago. and this time he's gonna be the player that other players look at for help and leadership. if he can handle that pressure of being the go-to-guy then it's gonna help alot towards his development. the only flaw that i see in his game is his speed to catch up to guys while back-checking. if he can dominate the juniors the 2nd time around and become even a better player then last year. then he really accomplished everything he can juniors. i really like this kid and don't wanna see him developed and easing him in the nhl the way horvat was. i want him to come to the nhl ready to play and be a key player on the canucks blueline.
  4. if Gillis drafted him, then theres a good chance. allah shinkaruk
  5. i think it's his positioning on the ice that is really his strong suit. his backchecking speed isn't the greatest in this years draft for d-men or even forwards. i dont see Joulevi playing for the canucks next year. give him a year or 2 for his speed to play against guys in the nhl.
  6. yeah virtanen definitely has a low hockey iq that's why i would put him on the 3rd line and be the type of player that grinds down low for the puck. something like toews did for team canada 2010 or like my earlier post, be a raffi torres for the canucks. it will help him with his development in the nhl and give him a decent job. IMO i think he's the fastest canuck on the team, so he can still get scoring chances if the coaches throw him out for a offensive draw or PP time. i can see why ppl might call him a bust for being such a high pick and picking other players we should of draft, but...... this is the vancouver canucks. i havent had high expectations for anybody the canucks have drafted like the last 15 years because i always get disappoint eventually. instead i just keep a open mind about them and see how they turn out. no bust or what if's. just another canucks draft. but since we got benning, i never been more excited about the prospects again. i still think virtanen will be a unique hockey player that will separate him from the others. still don't know exactly what, but he has things in his game that most players would be jealous of. might not turnout to be a 40 goal scorer but he will definitely make a impact on the games in the future.
  7. 3rd line grinder like raffi torres. that is what the canucks are missing. if he can play like that, i would be happy. let his scoring ability come naturally and work his way up the line-up.
  8. whats wrong with line 2? secondary scoring is huge in hockey. look at all the elite teams in the NHL. my best example... Malkin!!
  9. huh? u seem confuse. did i mistype something?
  10. i already like hansen with the twins. hopefully this guy can play with sutter or horvat so that we can balance the scoring. i still question WD's coaching. vrbata was overachieving with the twins, why take him off?? i never liked vrbata's game in PHX. but when he was with the twins, that line was a offensive threat... owell, he's gone now and i dont have to worry about that problem anymore. say hello to loui eriksson.....this guy is definitely able to play on his own and won't need guys to carry him. put him with anybody and he plays the same. good job benning to adding a talented hockey player.
  11. LOL top D usually play with top forwards. even in the NHL bro. best example.... Crosby and his little friend Letang
  12. say what? Juolevi at 5? .... that was a surprise. but its not a bad pick at all if you expect him to be an offensive defenseman with great 2-way hockey sense. a similar player like him would be my favorite d-man in the game rite now, Duncan Keith. after he was drafted i did my homework on why benning would pick him over tkachuk and i can see why. - has great hockey iq (high iq usually means 2-way hockey, no matter what the player is labeled as) - can make plays on the fly when his teammates don't know what to do next (makes them better) - has the vision to find the open ice (great outlet passes or even skates thru the neutral zone on his own) - not physical, but is always in great position to cut off passes (iq) - smooth skater and doesn't panic with the puck (rarely makes bad turnovers) - loves to have the puck in all situation (always thinking of a play for better offense) - if he pans out, he will be in rare company like Duncan Keith in the end if you think about it. we can always get another forward down the road. but to get or even find a player this rare will be hard to do. especially in a trade. easiest way is to pick them up in a draft draft. so i say great drafting and hope for the best for Joulevi because there are still mad canuck fans out there that wanted tkachuk.
  13. the next scott stevens... anyone?... anyone? yes, no?
  14. i don't think we should buy him out... still a reliable penalty killer and with sutter on it and the defence we're gonna have, im gonna say canucks will be a top pk team in the league next year.
  15. seems to trust anyone he plays with. so it's easy for his teammates to trust him and build chemistry with... who does'nt like a guy that always passes them the puck? and for that reason i can see him play on any line for the canucks.
