[Report] Jake DeBrusk requests trade
kenhodgejr replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Jake is a good locker room guy. I see him as a bit of a project player with size. I think he would fit in well with the players on our team. however I dont see him as the type of guy to add a huge impact to games. That needs to come from drastically improving our defence -
[Hypothetical] Who should replace Travis Green?
kenhodgejr replied to Ilya Mikheyev's topic in Canucks Talk
I don't care if the coach is a rookie or veteran. I want a coach who is passionate about coaching and has the ability to connect with the players on our team. Someone that they have fun playing for. Who they look forward to going to battle for. A lot of old coaches have lost their passion. Great people are not equal. The X factor in what makes a coach great doesn't necessarily have to do with experience. Being in the right head space to lead a hockey team to a championship is more important than a resume. -

[Rumour] J.T. Miller Trade/Contract Talks
kenhodgejr replied to Podzilla's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I think the only way we get the stud RHD this team needs is through the draft. So the best thing we can do is stock up on high draft picks -
Brock Boeser's value is a 1st a prospect and a roster player

[Rumour] J.T. Miller Trade/Contract Talks
kenhodgejr replied to Podzilla's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Millers value is a high first, a prospect and a current NHL player -
The guy I think is a superstar coach in the making is Spencer Carbery. He was AHL coach of the year and just got hired with Toronto Maple Leafs as an assistant coach. He is a fun guy to be around and has a gift being someone you want to play for. I beat him at a game of darts one time and it got to him lol. He's super competitive by nature and is a local kid who grew up in BC. We could probably snag him from Toronto right now. Benning also needs to go. I would like to see someone with experience and a proven track record to take over his spot.

Hoglander should be on the top line not Pettersson. At least until he gets his game back Next games lines Hoglander Miller Boeser Pearson Horvat Garland Highmore Dickenson Pettersson Dowling Lammikko Chiasson -
Is Pettersson not the same player we expect him to be?
kenhodgejr replied to b3nnyb's topic in Canucks Talk
This reminds me of all the panic we had after Boeser came back from his back injury and wasnt playing the same. People forget about Petterssons season ending wrist injury. This year is slowly getting back into it. Im glad hes not pushing his wrist with big power one timers. He hit those when hes ready. Look at Boeser he found his form again. Pettersson is still young and bone injuries heal. -

Connor Murphy on the other hand had a solid game. He would be a good player to target if we wish to be a playoff contender -
