An important thing to remember when grading Cody Glass is that the highlight clip covering the past couple years is not accurate to showing just how good he is today. His 2017 highlights show a player with an elite shot and playmaking abilities. A guy who makes everyone else around him better and shows good leadership abilities. I see him having a higher offensive ceiling than Horvat. I see him as s first line center and an Assistant Captain. Outside of Patrick and Hischier he would be my first pick at #5. My order of players to pick at 5: 1. Glass 2. Hieskanen 3. Mittlestadt 4. Vilardi

I agree with you completely. If we can't get Mittlestadt then I would go for Heiskanen. If we can't get Heiskanen then I would go for Vilardi. We should be able to get one of these guys. Glass looks good but from what I saw Vilardi and Mittlestadt are on another level. Heiskanen looks like a first line D

Its starting to look like Heiskanen and Mittlestadt are likely to be picked #3, #4. Leaving us with Vilardi or Glass. Vilardi has a big frame already and looks like he will be about 220lbs when he is a bit older. We could use a big body on the top 6 like that who can snipe the puck. Glass looks to me like the clear available player at #5. Vilardi, Mittlestadt, and Heiskanen are all being talked about for 3,4. Glass is the one player you hear more about in the 6-10 range. I would love if we could trade Tanev and get Winnipegs first and land Lilgegren at #13.

If Vilardi falls to us at 5 we will be really lucky. He has an elite shot and scoring touch. Had knee surgery last year which might explain his slow skating this season. Glass looks good but Mittlestadt looks more offensive to me. I would take him this year and use him as a LW on the top line. Next year we will likely be picking near the bottom again and there are better centres to choose from like Brady Tkachuk and Jack Wise That said if Mittlestadt is taken before we pick Cody Glass or Miro Heiskanen would be great additions to our team

Mittlestadt is a great player but i see him in the NHL as a great LW'er Glass looks like a safe pick for a second line center. Maybe first. I think having a first line of Mittlestadt Horvat Boesser Would be a really good line. Heavy enough to compete with the big teams.
