  1. Depends who has been taken We can assume the first two. If Glass and Vilardi go #3,4 you could argue Mittlestadt, liljegren, and Makar would be good picks at #5 I would lean towards Liljegren so we get our right handed defence man who has size and would make a dynamic duo with Juolevi . If I was picking for the Canucks I would pick 1. Patrick 2. Hischier 3. Glass 4. Liljegren 5. Mittlestadt 6. Makar 7. Heiskanen 8. Peterson 9. Vilardi 10. Necas 11. Tippett 12. Tolvanen 13. Suzuki 14. Valimaki 15. Foote 16. Vesalainen 17. Kostin 18. Rasmusen 19. Hague 20. Peohling
  2. I agree, Glass to me is the guy our team needs. I hope he is available when we pick. He is a player we could build our top six around. A good honest high character, hard working Canadian kid who can lead the team by good example. A welcome addition to our future core.
  3. I agree with your assessment on Tippet. Not a player I would take in the first round.
  4. Does this mean we get rid of Ried Boucher, Michael Chaput, Jason Megna, Drew Shore, Jack Skille, Anton Rodin, and Griffen Molino?
  5. Was just watching Cale Makar's 2016/2017 highlights. This kid would change our team. Tyramkin's loss hurt. If we don't draft a potential #1 D man we never will be able to trade for one. This guy has elite offensive skill. Mitch Marner like. If we trade Tanev for a mid first say 15 we might be able to draft Nicolas Hague. This would set up our D core moving forward and provide us with a flashy Norris potential player. Juolevi is smart enough to work well with Makar and be his defensive rock when he makes rushes. Hague has the mean "Pronger" edge we were looking for in Tyramkin. He has a bomb of a shot. Could be a Chara like player and a steel at 15. Hague would help with team toughness and keep other players honest around Makar. Maker has the making of a superstar! Next year we target a top 6 center like Jack Wise. Granlund Horvat Boesser Goldobin Dahlen Virtanen Beartchi Gaudette Boucher McEwan McKenzie Lockwood Juolevi Makar Hague Stetcher Brisebois Subban Demko Markstrom
  6. After seeing Nico Hischier's speed and edge work I wouldn't be surprised if he dominates in the combine. I could see Patrick being similar to PLD of last season. Hischier i see similar to Tyson Jost but better finishing, speed, and edge work.
  7. We still take the best center available with our first pick. 1.Patrick 2. Hieschier 3. Vilardi 4. Mittlestadt 5. Glass
  8. Juolevi is a stud and he will make the team next season! Beartchi Horvat Boesser Sedin Sedin Granlund Goldobin Sutter Virtanen Boucher Chaput Molino Gaunce Shore Dorset/ Rodin Juolevi Stetcher Hutton Tyramkin Edler Gudbranson Sbisa Biega Miller Markstrom
  9. If we pick 5th and the following players have been taken. Who would you take at #5? 1. Patrick 2. Hischier 3. Vilardi 4. Mitlestadt 5. Liljegren, Glass, Necas, Rasmussen, Tolvanen, Tippett ???
  10. Rogers Arena should have a bronze statue of Burrows shooting the bow & arrow like he used to in honour of Luc Bourdon. #14
  11. I here'd a comparison of Nolan Patrick to a style similar to Bo Horvat. If we pick first this year and we take Patrick what if we played him in a 2nd or 3rd line center and then if we have another bad year maybe we can draft Jake Wise next season. A franchise center in Wise followed by two solid defensively responsible guys in Patrick and Horvat. That would make our team solid as a rock to build around. Granlund Wise Boesser Goldobin Patrick Dahlen Beartchi Horvat Lockwood McEwan Gaudette Virtanen Juolevi Stetcher Hutton Tyramkin Gudbranson Subban Demko Markstrom
  12. Watching the playoffs and how physically intense they are we are going to need fast skating big hitting players. Virtanen is built for playoff hockey. I would like more big body players and less soft non hitting/fighting players. The refs will let other players take runs at us. We need guys who like to dish it back out. I hope with our second we can add a big body forward who likes to hit and fight.
  13. Juolevi had a solid year in the OHL. Is he eligible for Utica next season?
  14. I would love to add a solid LW prospect in Maxime Comtois. Would round out a good 3rd line with Virtanen
  15. I think this guy would make a good depth prospect with NHL potential. 20. Even if Jake has to play another season or half season in Utica thats not a bad thing. I can see Jake taking Eriksson's job.
  21. If Lockwood can continue his success at the next level I see him being a contender for the second line RW position on our team.
  22. Green probably wants to see them skate in a practice scrimmage and watch their hands in some basic drills to get an idea of where they are at.
