Wow Jimmy..that's prettydamn cool. To me, she's one of the greatest artists of the 20th C.

I listen to Hejira,(full album on Utube) all the time. It takes a true painter to write lyrics like hers. Absolute, unique genius.

Have been worried about her health, after her last illness(few yrs back)...

I remember my mom telling me a story about how Joni would just bop around the hallways singing to herself as a kid. Apparently you could see it all way back then. 

Indeed..invest a little time into some of her interviews(there's a long one, with weirdo Ghomeshi on Q, CBC)

She's so open about herself. There's an honesty/integrity, that's always reflected within her work. Did your Ma attend school with her in Saskatoon or Alberta?
