@coastal.view I actually have two sets. I'm waiting for the market for them to reach $1000 before I sell mine (nah gonna keep 'em)

Something is wonky with Cap Friendly. They have Carolina sitting with 973 million in cap space...

Sometimes teams poop the bed. Thats all last night was, time to move on.

Sounds like Benning offered Nikita a 2 year extension, so now I'm just sad. This team.

Stevie Y is in tight to make room for Karlsson with all those NTCs... only guy they can move with no NTC is JT Miller. Kucherov isn't going anywhere.

Still waiting on that Ben Hutton PTO with Calgary. You know its coming.

symbolism is amazing. We can be shown videos of improper shootings and it comes and goes in the news cycle as if it was fiction. But someone drops a knee and the world goes apesh!t.

@nickels You lack even rudimentary reading comprehension. I'm sorry your teachers so utterly failed you but it's not my job to fix that.

well i cannot recall who i had this debate with
i was told by someone that guddy would play more games then tanev this season
i said no
but was assured that he'd have more games played then tanev before tanev returned from his injury
all i can say about gud is that since he has joined this team he is unable to play even 1/2 the games
that concerned me in his resigning discussions
and unfortunately my fears have been realized again this season
i guess there is always next year for gud to try again to stay healthy

That day your backup is mad for being a backup. #Canucks_infamy

That stupid McDavid commercial they play 20 times per game is driving me crazy. Its really funny though, it cracks my wife up every time when they show that workout scene where he's carrying two small kettlebells, she laughs and says "look at McDavids little balls" thats my gal, true Canucks fan.

The big Benning haters were comedy gold today, thanks fellas.

He definitely did well today, these are the deals he should've been doing all along but I suspect there is massive interference from ownership sadly. Even if poolman is a bust it shouldn't handicap the team, taking on OEL though.... yikes. What got him to this point deserves criticism but he somehow found a way out that hole and learned from last offseason. Today was definitely a good day for the team.

The boys will figure things out. November is not panic season.

The Canucks may have as much as 29 million free if the cap goes up to 82 mil in June. ¡Ay Chihuahua!
-
The Canucks should set up a contest for post number 4,000,000. That has to be a league fan base record.

The expansion process was a lot like a trip to Vegas, exciting at first, goes on too long, more expensive than you planned and you feel a little sick and ready leave by the end.

The first lab grown meat has been approved for sale in Singapore. Sorry Alberta.

the hockey gods have a cruel sense of humour, we might be out of the playoffs and everyone we could have dealt at the TDL is on the IR.

The infamous "Torts 2nd" has become Gadjovich's ELC. Thanks JT.

the north shore mountains look incredible today. Perfect day, no rain in the city, snow on the mountains.

About 1997? We had a snowfall in November. I was working for a cell phone company on the North Shore.
So I was driving over the Lions Gate Bridge. And snow was starting to fall. It was one of those picture postcard moments. Then I think it was CFMI on the radio, the DJ played Greg Lake's "I Believe in Father Christmas". It was that brief moment in syncronicity, and to top it off. The crescendo was right as I was driving off the bridge.
I won't forget that moment. I gotta say it was beautiful. Gave me chills, but in a good way. -
@Ghostsof1915 Awesome mate. it's beautiful how such moments get frozen in memory. Had one like that where I was drivin home from Cowtown(Dec 1992)..had broken up with LT girl, & even my heater(old Datsun) was broken!
:^) blowin cold air, all night thru the Rockies. I was blastin G & R, screamin lyrics louder than Axel, to keep warm. Finally reached Hope..the town that is, not the state of mind, Couldn't pick up Van radio yet, but wondered which tune would welcome me back to Gawd's country.
Around Chilli, there were Larry & Willy's grating enthusiasm, announcing they were now playing the MOST requested tune, for some call-in, who wanted to record the classic:
"I'll have a bbbbbbbb blue Christmmas, w,w,w,without youuuuuu!..." (the Porky Pig classic cover)
Felt so damn good..laughin with a tear in the eye! 28 yrs, & feels like yesterday.

The really important thing is, how does Jake's extension effect the Leafs?
- Show previous comments 1 more

It also reflects the quality and integrity of the Leafs roster. Jake's a party boy who doesn't take his diet or training seriously, he's obviously not invested and now he's overpaid. Expect two or three articles about how the Virtanen signing exposes Benning's investment in flawed hockey players. I mean, he signed Loui who's flaw is that he's only willing to score most of his goals into empty nets so there's a track record. But expect any comments related to Leafs star Matthews not exposing Bening, just himself, to mysteriously vanish.

The Senate just passed the pot bill. Fire up you stoners.

The temperature seems to be going up over Brock. I blame his agent, I think he's the unreasonable party in all this. Lets not forget Brock is good people and under a lot of stress before sending out the wolves.
