  1. true but I can't see him performing as well as Miller going forward. But I also don't care about Philly and if they want to back up the brinks truck for the weasel then thats good for us to have him out of our division.
  2. its not just Bruce, he's got a great bench too. I'd hate to lose all that talent and hit re-set, really for no reason.
  3. the universe is indifferent. All we have is each other.
  4. @mll can do a good job of explaining all the issues with LTIR. Biggest one imo is not being able to bank cap space.
  5. I think we got pretty lucky on that one. Only so many Ottawa's to go around.
  6. Arizona, maybe Seattle. Depends on what it costs us to move him.
  7. I think relying Weisbrod was the biggest issue. "Hey John, any issues with Poolman?" "Not that I can see Jim". I think that was the extent of it.
  8. sure but LTIR stinks in other ways. We'd be better off trying to move him to a bottom feeder, but it would cost assets.
  9. the concern is his ongoing migraine issues. I can't understand why Benning would have signed him for 4 years knowing that was a possible issue, did we have any medical consultants on staff? I don't know that we can do much with Poolman, other than send him to Abby and bring him up as needed if he's healthy.
  10. I'm more interested in why SJS are being let off the hook on his cap hit.
  11. I like OEL personally, he won't produce as many assists as QH but he should be good for 40 pts and play all situations.
  12. I looked at Poolmans buyout, it doesn't really save much over just putting him in Abby, and it extends the dead cap too long. Just waive him and hope AZ likes free things. Dickies might be worth it, but I'd prefer to just retain 500k on him and see if that gets us an asset back at least. Or waive him too and see what shakes.
  13. hell of a risky/ballsy move tho. I just can't see JR making such a massive deal but then again, he's here to do something.
  14. not nearly enough. I'd want 2022 1st, 2023 1st unprotected, 2022 and 2023 2nds, Severson, Bahl, Graves, Nolan Foote. We'd be handing them one of the most exciting combo of brothers in NHL history, it has to sting.
  15. man it would suck to lose Quinn. Its certainly a retool though. Who would you want coming our way?
  16. yep there's an actual hockey trade. Some great now pieces and some magic beans for later.
  17. well, they still seem to be in the market for a new top C if the Kadri rumours are correct.
  18. I would think a pick, given the salary coming back our way already.
  19. I'm not sure how seriously I take that 2 year number, seems like most GMs throw that one out there. If everyone other than Demko really is on the table, that to me seems more akin to a tear down. Who would we buy out that makes sense?
  20. imo that would be a mistake if Miller were available to them, but who knows. Kadri is having a career year on the top western team, Miller is having a career year with much less help.
  21. huh. Well maybe we are looking at a significant tear down.
  22. I think they'd see him as a big part of the future tho, with Miller complimenting him. I think its really important that we get a solid roster piece back in any Miller deal, its going to hurt to lose him. I'd actually prefer a dman but maybe Konecny makes Garland movable for a d?
