    thats the hard part, looking at their lineup I can't see who that would be. I wouldn't want Duclair for two more years here, e.g. as I can't see him being happy being moved up here. I thought people were suggesting Boeser as the better fit for NSH? dunno, its so hard to know what a team will give up.

    yup not being just a rental is a good thing all around.

    can't see a deal with the Panthers, not sure they have what we need. NYR does make the most sense. But it's a big decision for NYR - give up a lot of assets to us, and then agree to a 9+ mil long term deal. If he collapses Loui style it would be devastating.

    its an interesting situation for sure. If he gets traded in the next 2 weeks, I would imagine the team acquiring him would want to have the framework of a deal in place. If we're willing to match it, maybe he stays put if he likes his chances here. I also don't mind the idea of keeping him for next year, given how motivated he will be in a contact year.

    Miller doesn't have Backstrom's resume tho. People were talking Tavares money, no one is giving Miller 11 million.
