any sense of how well this works for joint pain? I can't tolerate ibuprofen and i'm looking for something particularly after exercise
  2. Washington maybe? they're cap squeezed.... some sort of swap of our 2nd for their 1st and ? they need to re-tool that bottom 6 so maybe something in there? Other than Pits and WSH I don't really see a trade option for us.
  3. help out Pittsburgh. But they might be looking at that list thinking its best to sit tight. I don't get the Cozens drop but if he's really available to us then we have to take that kid imo. Tons of character and a top 6 NHL frame. He could crack the roster in a year.
  4. I'm guessing varying amounts of vodka and borsht. I dunno, I was quite high on him developing here, and do wonder if his development has been hurt. He doesn't look like the doughy dude that showed up initially though so if his fitness level is up then there's reason to be hopeful. It would be ideal if he came back this year but that doesn't seem to be a thing.
  5. I think we can get almost as much out of Schenn tbh for a little less $. Polak hasn't been a feared presence for a while now.
  6. on the plus side, we get him back with low milage
  7. Odds on Puljujarvi signing a 1 year deal in Europe?

      @alflives

anyone showing an interest in him

      cannot share your viewpoint

they will have an assessment that assumes the oilers are a mess

      cannot properly develop talent

and that the poolster is a talented young player that needs better surroundings

      oilers will not firesale him

so i can see a lower 1st round pick getting it doen

or a player like virtanen.. high pick, slowish development

I sure would.  Better team, closer to home, and a better city?  Why the hell would anyone play for an AHL team in one of the worst cities in North America with fans who are deluded into thinking their joke of a franchise belongs in the NHL?

  8. you have me there If we traded for him and he had a year or even 2 on his deal I could live with it. A 5-7 year deal is a boat anchor. I suspect Jim's public interest in him might be part of the Edler negotiations more than anything else.
  9. meh, 25 secondary assists on his big points year, on a high powered no defence minded system. He won't produce like that with our team.
  10. you wouldn't be adding much. A top pairing d or a top line (likely) perennial 30 goal scorer. Every team needs both and would have to pay a lot for either. It would matter who else was on the market or in your system, but it would not be a big add to make that deal.
  11. It just shows how out of touch this clown is, or how dumb he thinks we all are. Maybe both. Craig Button nailed it - he said Boeser is an elite scorer, Zucker isn't. Everyone but Price seems to know that. That doesn't mean I wouldn't want Zucker here for some reasonable deal but suggesting Boeser is rightfully the stuff of ridicule.
  12. thats interesting stuff on Jake I hadn't seen that. That would certainly be how you'd try to sell Jake in a trade. If Fenton wants to send us a slightly overpaid 6/7 RHD to dump Zucker then yes lets be all over that. I wonder if Rask could find his game on Petey's wing? who knows, a package of those 3 guys that doesn't cost us a 1st round pick might work out well for us.
  13. well... maybe cap clearing and getting "young and fast" Jake is something he'd in be in on. Not that I'm keen to move on from Jake.
  14. ah OK. So does that mean some sort of deal built around Virtanen then? I realize he's not enough on his own and there would have to be a serious addition, just not sure what.
  15. Nik says "give me the number" and AG yes "yes sir"
  16. So I guess it would be one of Pearson or Baer plus other assets going back the other way? Not sure how this works otherwise.
  17. Good luck buddy, I hope that works out.
  18. everyone knew that was the timeline with that type of surgery. Its good news that he's on schedule.
  19. Well i didn't, I liked Guddy I think thats media self-importance at work there, I'm sure they'd love to think they had that kind of power. I'm not going to delve too deeply into it, I can see why teams might want to take a chance on him and I won't set my hair on fire if Jim and his staff see a fit. But I won't care if we pass on him either.
  20. I don't believe anything this guy says
  21. kids need a chance to learn and make mistakes, but maybe with 3rd lines coached to be more offensive he can get more chances that way too.
  22. sure but he's still 22, 23 in August. I think he's earned a shot a more top 6 time and if Green gives him that he'll perform as well or better than a lot of the guys in his draft class (http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/draft/nhl2014e.html).
  23. depends on how the pro scouts rate him and where Green and his staff see a fit. If its good for us, who gives two $&!#s if it helps TO or not?
