  1. could be. But you know, the guy still goes and does his job knowing he can get hurt, takes real balls to do that.
  2. sage advice Joe Craig Button has been pretty accurate tho on his assessments. I hope Jim can somehow wrangle up one more 1st rounder and we can satisfy all of CDC with a F and D.
  3. hopefully there won't be a lot of ticket selling going on, that would be a drag to have a bunch of empty lower bowl seats if people are asking ridiculous prices, considering how many people were unable to get tickets.
  4. yeah mad Edler is fun to watch. curious where Kaliyev will end up, I know he needs work but he can put it in the net and he's got an NHL frame already.
  5. I always take the scouting reports with a grain of salt, but he does sound like a smart player and good skater. My one worry is Button has dropped him from 10 to 17 recently, but in his May 9th mock draft he's got us picking Broberg which is fine by me. Hello Edler 2.0 (I realize many on CDC would hate that idea )
  6. the vegans. They're easier to feed, they just have to graze their way to the fight.
  7. wow, I haven't heard that about him yet. I thought you were higher on him, what changed your mind?
  8. yup thats exactly it. Enjoy your taxpayer funded episode of Political Theatre. Pipe Noir.
  9. ? please explain. From the reporting i've seen he sounds like he'd be a great fit on this team.
  10. he might try, but I really doubt the SC hears it. There's no point, the laws crystal clear and it would just waste the courts time. Time to move on, at least on this tack.
  11. just looking into some background on Ontario's policy if anyone's interested see the link below.... I think this guy is going to win his case. https://blg.com/en/News-And-Publications/Documents/Publication_4433_1033.pdf
  12. I'm sure the tiger appreciates having a lean option.
  13. I used to think that a buyout wasn't possible with Loui but I'm starting to rethink that. With a lockout year looming it might actually make sense since one of the two remaining 5.6 mil cap hit years would be eliminated, and the team can absorb the first 5.6 mil hit this year. After that its 3.6 for 1 year and ~600k after that for 3 more. And from the owners perspective its a cheap option with only 3.33 mil in real money being paid out. This might actually be preferable to taking on some other GMs mistake and/or losing good young assets just to dump him. https://www.capfriendly.com/buyout-calculator/loui-eriksson#results I'd prefer we just play the guy tho this year, and maybe get a compliance buyout with a new CBA.
  14. he's Linden's 2nd cousin
  15. yeah could be, like I said if its possible someone somewhere will try it. I don't think this issue with the firefighter is in that category tho.
  16. yeah part of me hears what you're saying I have discussions with my daughter about her vegan friends, I just can't quite wrap my head around all of it (we usually have to end up agreeing to disagree on honey), but people can do what they want. I think if you're an employer and suggest that you'll accommodate, and then don't, thats a problem. But if you willingly know you're going into a situation where it will be very hard to get you your preference.... I don't have any personal sympathy. I also think the ON gov't has a good position in that they can claim its too hard to accommodate one guy like this. But then again I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the tribal ruled in the guys favour.
  17. tbh I have no idea. Maybe as part of some package maybe? not sure.
  18. deep breath. feel the calm. No, it goes to the ON human rights tribunal and they decide if ON broke its own policy. Every province makes their own decisions on this kind of thing, it has no federal implications necessarily. These kinds of tribunals btw can't award big payouts either.
  19. its not small minded, its how it works. At best, the guy was treated poorly, at worst the ON gov't didn't follow its own stated human rights policy. I don't see any space between those goalposts for this to be exploitation.
  20. I wonder who's on Phils 8 team list?
  21. legal challenges help define the limits of our laws, not work against them. The last thing it does is take away a right.
  22. oh for sure. What would likely concern a food officer is that tofu can be eaten raw, so getting meat drippings on it would be a concern.
