I took a ride on it and was pretty impressed with how it could work here to service all the routes that skytrain can't. I think we're just going to bypass smaller city rail systems like the c-train in Cowgary and go straight to these kinds of vehicles sooner than later. By going electric as well the operating and maintenance costs are driven way down, as well as no need for any construction. Exactly what Vancouver needs imo.

Jake can get better in this area, it would be silly to give up on him now. People seem to expect an accelerated development curve now and forget that most players don't develop fully until their mid-20s. I'd be surprised if he wasn't at least considering that option. With 9 mil left on his deal after that, I do think he could earn that or at least close to that with another team. He'd fit well on many teams at 2 mil per, particularly if teams knew well ahead of time that he'd be available and the Canucks let his agent talk to other teams.

Ranked ballot is simpler to manage, but it got a lot of flack in the left media because they claimed it would be better for the Liberals, but the way the polling is today it would probably be better for the NDP and Greens.
