  1. We want honest politicians!!! Its all your fault. Kick the bum out!!!!
  2. he's not a rookie working his way up the lines. He's had a lot of success in top 6 roles. And we don't have a better option for Bo's RW on the team yet.
  3. Sure but that may not be an option.
  4. depends how they use Looch. If he can just stake to the net, he could be a great distraction that allows more space for EP and Brock.
  5. to be fair to Green, once Pearson came on board he did run that line of Pearson-Bo-Loui for about 15 games i believe. Once it made sense to Green he did use it.
  6. that could be for sure. I'm just yapping on best fit.
  7. with Petey's line for sure. I see Loui as a fit with Bo far more than with Petey.
  8. If he can just be planted with Bo and Pearson I think we'll see 15-20 goals, up to 40 points, along with his solid play away from the puck. Is that 6 mil? no, but I think it would make people forget, or at least quit harping, on the guys contract.
  9. I dislike Wilkinson more than Clark. Weaver.... where to begin? This faux fight is a gift for Horgan politically.
  10. I've been advocating for Loui to be with Bo for a long time. i have the bruises to prove it
  11. It certainly did when put with Bo and Pearson.
  12. Looch would have to agree to waive his NMC for expansion as part of the trade, which he can do, so its not set in stone. Thats a deal-breaker for sure, and every team is going to ask for that.
  13. don't forget raising the spectre of separation. I have to admit, I didn't think Horgan had the spine to stand up to this stuff, but I'm glad to be shown wrong.
  14. I was thinking now, I don't see how with the current attitudes in AB that anything resembling a partnership is possible. So much anger, and so much it based on BS and myth. AB needs to take a collective anger management course. How often do people make correct decisions when they are mad? They are just hurting their own cause.
  15. very possible. I think its more likely than Eberle tho, theres some good things going on in NY for him. Panarin was pretty much confirmed to leave CBJ. For the other 3.... what if it costs 2 mil more per year or 2 more contract years than they're really worth? Is Myers a game changer or just a decent top 4 RHD? Does Nelson take Bo's spot? move Petey to wing? Or do we try to create 3 scoring lines? Nelson might be interesting but so much depends on the price.
  16. its really interesting to go back and look at some of the roots of the current mythos. It runs so deep. The "fight" is now far more important than whether or not its winnable. I wonder if the idea of coming to the table as partners is simply impossible?
  17. Just a little background on why Kenney's Bill 12 is doomed to fail, and ironically it comes from the patron saint of Alberta oil Peter Lougheed. He made sure that the 1982 constitutional amendments included these gems. Basically Lougheed ensured that Kenney can't create price differences between provinces on exported products. Lougheed meant it to protect AB from other provinces taxing his oil, but it works both ways. Its a good example of how Kenney is using misguided anger. He knows he has no chance at all of having Bill 12 stand up in court. This is the kind of thing thats creating real divisions between BC and AB and until this kind of gaming stops I don't see how there can ever be a real partnership that gets AB oil moving like it could be. 92A. (1) In each province, the legislature may exclusively make laws in relation to (a) exploration for non-renewable natural resources in the province; (b) development, conservation and management of non-renewable natural resources and forestry resources in the province, including laws in relation to the rate of primary production therefrom; and (c) development, conservation and management of sites and facilities in the province for the generation and production of electrical energy. Marginal note:Export from provinces of resources (2) In each province, the legislature may make laws in relation to the export from the province to another part of Canada of the primary production from non-renewable natural resources and forestry resources in the province and the production from facilities in the province for the generation of electrical energy, but such laws may not authorize or provide for discrimination in prices or in supplies exported to another part of Canada. Marginal note:Authority of Parliament (3) Nothing in subsection (2) derogates from the authority of Parliament to enact laws in relation to the matters referred to in that subsection and, where such a law of Parliament and a law of a province conflict, the law of Parliament prevails to the extent of the conflict. Marginal note:Taxation of resources (4) In each province, the legislature may make laws in relation to the raising of money by any mode or system of taxation in respect of (a) non-renewable natural resources and forestry resources in the province and the primary production therefrom, and (b) sites and facilities in the province for the generation of electrical energy and the production therefrom, whether or not such production is exported in whole or in part from the province, but such laws may not authorize or provide for taxation that differentiates between production exported to another part of Canada and production not exported from the province. “Primary production” (5) The expression “primary production” has the meaning assigned by the Sixth Schedule. Marginal note:Existing powers or rights (6) Nothing in subsections (1) to (5) derogates from any powers or rights that a legislature or government of a province had immediately before the coming into force of this section. 18. Edmonton has been a place to get the worst out of otherwise good players for a few years now. We've seen the resurrections happen once guys leave. If Lucic could be counted on for 15 goals and be a positive presence on a line with Petey and Bo... how many people would change their mind about acquiring him, particularly if it came with the 8th oa this year?
  19. I think they'd have an easier time getting a new GM if Lucic was moved first
  20. I think we need to let that pass, his family was getting hassled pretty bad. It was over the top emotional at that time.
  21. pretty much. There's just so much BS put out there as well. Kenney claiming its BCs fault the gas prices are high is an all time doozie. Nothing that Horgans government has done has had any effect on the project whatsoever, all they've done is ask for clarification of rights in the courts. There's literally been no effect on any project but that doesn't stop the BS from flowing now does it What this has always needed is a partnership approach. AB needs to learn to come to the table without the threats, bluster or claim on Canadian constitutionality. Or they can continue on the same path and maybe, just maybe a decade from now something might get built. Or not.
  22. missed that one. Great, a pro-life activist organizer running AB schools. I'm sure the abstinence promo's will go over great with the kids.
  23. for sure. I'm sure there is a fair formula of some kind to make the additional coverage viable. Wanting to keep the premiums low also incentivizes better safety at the companies too.
