[Speculation] Canucks Likely to push for Gardiner on July 1st
JM_ replied to buddyguy's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
its freaky. Its not over yet tho, there may be an epic collapse in Torts future. Should be a good one tonight tho, if Tampa's not desperate for this one then they should be booted. The NYI are the ones really impressing me tho. I wanted Trotz here, but the timing wasn't right. -
Put Eriksson on the 2nd line with Pearson and Horvat. Yay or nay?

well, it may have to be on this team next year. The OP is talking about working with what we have. Who else is going to top 40 pts in that spot on todays roster? And 40 pts is in 2nd line scoring territory, which is what that line would be. -

well, you suggested that he didn't. -
its going to cost them a 1st rounder to get someone like Tanev at the TDL, thats why I think the 2020 1st back to them is too high. Tanev and Larsson on their right side gives them far better options than they have now - e.g., Nurse-Tanev could be a great pairing for them. Remember, my premise is desperation.

the rights to Stralman might be available in about 8 hours I doubt Lee wants to go anywhere, but maybe Dzingel. Still curious what it will take to sign Ferland, I do think he'd add a needed dimension to the EP-Boeser line, very much in line with Burr and the Sedins. -
Looking at the top 10 picks, I think by far our best shot at getting another pick in that range is with Edmonton. Total tire fire, frustrated superstar, angry fan base, only 8.4 mil in cap space + whatever the cap goes up by. Seems like a perfect storm to get that pick. Can we put together a package that makes sense? I think we could get that pick for sure if in the scenario we take Lucic off their hands, but there has to be a better option than that. Interested to hear some ideas on what gets us that #8 pick.

so far right its left. Kenney openly criticized AB oil executives during the campaign, it was right out of the lefty play book -

yup, all Ford did was write Trudeau a cheque. And the idiot is turning down federal infrastructure money because he doesn't want to have photo-ops with himself and Trudeau building anything in Ontario. Kenney will do the same thing. But it will be better for cities, who are now going to get even more money sent their way. Which is a good thing imo, we're more impacted at the municipal level anyway so if we can bypass some of our dumber provincial politicians and get projects built its a win for all of us.
