maybe it'll put a healthy chip on OJs shoulder. I really hope we can make a LHD deal to make room for him and grab up a pick or two for the 2019 draft party.
  2. You should be, thats a heck of an achievement.
  3. anything more than magna is just showing off
  4. no its actually true. My wife works in post secondary research and she's been in a number of meetings with companies that are either coming or have arrived here from California due to Trump. Its a real thing. http://time.com/4728289/canada-welcomes-tech-companies-spooked-trump/
  5. hard to say, they'd have to swap the 350 for a Prius C.... might be a bridge too far....
  6. yup, a lot of well educated Americans who want to escape Trump.

with all that going for him why do you think he didn't make the cut over Heiskanen?
  9. its R&D jobs... pretty sure they can find their way to the can.
  10. hey look, job creation in BC without oil! http://www.news1130.com/2018/04/30/trudeau-vancouver-amazon/ Amazon to expand Vancouver Tech Hub, create 3,000 jobs
  11. this could very well turn out to be the case. Can't blame BC for this.
  12. its not a debate, global temperatures are rising. https://climate.nasa.gov/vital-signs/global-temperature/

depends on what other assets they could get from us and which D they have their eye on. We do have a bit of a F glut in the 6-9 range, just don't know if that would be enough to jump up 2 spots.

  14. Don't be mad, be happy Dahlin won't be in orange and blue.

  15. plus if his WHC coach has some sort of an issue with EP then maybe its best if he's not on that team. Its icing on the cake anyway after an amazing season.
  16. same level per capita. Albertans love things stated in 'per capita' terms. Its not if its a matter of when China develops economic carbon capture from coal plants as well things will improve greatly there, it has to. https://www.iea.org/newsroom/news/2017/january/the-potential-for-carbon-capture-and-storage-in-china.html
  17. coal is part of it for China, but its actually quite diversified: https://www.iea.org/weo/china/ Saskatchewan is about the same level of coal use: http://www.saskpower.com/our-power-future/our-electricity/supply-options/coal/ so no agenda in those links, just the facts.
  18. China has actually set a goal to have at least 1/3 of their cars full electric within 7 years.
  19. If you can add to that a way to actually clean it up then I think you'd see more support for it. IMO the fed's are dragging their feet on the research because they are afraid of a negative result. Its a bit ridiculous that there is only one small lab working on it given how important the project is. None of the research to date has been done on a scaled tank with BC conditions, thats a big missing piece. Nearly all of it have bee fresh water studies. People can hypothesize all they want, but until you've actually done something you don't have the evidence.
  20. nope its still a nightmare at certain times of the day. Part of the issue is the regional fighting over what option is better, Richmond doesn't want a bridge, Delta does. Last I heard it was dead in the water but maybe somethings changed.
  21. ^^ this. You can either demonstrate that it can be cleaned up or you can't. So far the only testing has been in fresh water tanks, and of course the experience in Michigan which took over 5 years to deal with. There is no report yet about salt water conditions or ones that include salt water and silt. Alberta guys saying "it'll float" isn't scientific evidence.
  22. we don't have a company that can make the massive storage tanks so I think thats where it comes into play. LNG just makes so much more sense for northern BC, and if Weaver tries to bring Horgan down on that I think he'll lose, most people are for sensible LNG projects.
  23. no they were proposing a giant 10 lane thing that didn't make sense like Deb said about 3km up the road it bottlenecks again anyway. Twinning the tunnel or a smaller bridge made more sense.
  24. I'd agree with the nausea part. No all the concerns have not been addressed, namely clean up. Cash is not the only issue and you know that.
