I'm an enigma
-
-
you're not making sense anymore, even for you. why would I be jealous of the AB government? that makes literally no sense. BC actually gets some very high skilled immigrants, particularly thanks to Trump these days.
-
had to look it up. Just for 17 games. Was with a few teams. http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=1543

I don't get the impression EP has that issue. TBH I didn't follow Nilsson, but sounds like Calgary had something special there for a while.
-
Sure, what can you do? I am concerned about people living paycheque to paycheque. Thats why I don't want to see AB be allowed to drive up BC gas prices so they can ship 100% dil bit through the KM pipeline. It won't create more than a literal handful of BC jobs, and the royalties to BC are peanuts compared to people paying $75 more a week to fill their tanks.
-
yup. Had to watch it twice to see it.
-
Sweden is going to demand reparations from the Canucks for letting this kid play here.
-
oh no, don't do that to him.
-
why do you make it so easy? BC real estate has no bearing on the KM issue at all. What 'blockade'? wtf are you even talking about? See this right here is the problem, if BC doesn't do exactly what AB wants then you whine and pout and start talking crazy. You just don't seem to get the concept of a business partner. I suppose that comes from easy money in oil. I've done well in BC, thankfully don't need to move to Calgary. Granted I don't buy a lot of boats or trucks, but still.

Baer has a good shot but I think Goldy's is better, and might be a better passer too. And his age fits the rebuild better. Goldy showed up with that lazy label (well earned) but listening to Cull talk about him makes me think the kids turned the corner. If he was ever going to be lazy now is the time, he's got another year on his deal, the regular season is over, but he's still making the effort. Bodes well imo.
-
it'll be interesting to see what happens with Baer. If I'm understanding arbitration rules properly, I think there's a short window after the SCFs are over where the Canucks can initiate salary arbitration vs waiting for Baer to request it. If they do that then I could see Baer being shopped pretty hard leading up to the draft.
-
he'd be claimed, he'd be a gift from the hockey gods. @Alflives He's playing much better now. I don't know if you heard Cull on 650 the other day but he was glowing about Goldy's effort level now. We're really lucky that Larionov is the kids agent and Cull is putting him in good situations for his growth. I'd much prefer to trade Baer than lose Goldobin.

sure, BC has the best ranked economy in Canada cuz its all do nuttin' here http://www.conferenceboard.ca/hcp/provincial/economy.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1 you need to listen to what you're being told. If AB stops trying to act like an entitled bully and more like an actual business partner you'd get what you want. And yet somehow I can guess your response...
-
no, you need to understand, business deals need partners. Kinder Morgan understands that, even now they say they'll still invest in BC no matter what happens with TM because they need BC to make money for their current projects. Thats a CEO that puts things in the right perspective. But you and your AB cronies seem to think taking a divisive approach will work and blame BC when its rejected. You on the other hand think you can use the constitution like a sword when its really a shield. Get it through that melon of yours - its the AB approach to this that is causing the problems.
-
actually, no they have not. Even your idol Harper admitted that oil was not the main driver of our economy. But you know that. With everything thats being stacked up against the opposition this project certainly has a good chance of getting through, but I won't shed any tears if it goes down. Its also not the end of Kinder Morgan's investments in Canada, their CEO said yesterday that they would still be investing in projects, even in BC. You still don't seem to get it. You can't treat other provinces the way AB is trying to and think its all going to go well for you. AB's long term game is to hurt BC on gas prices and put our coastal economy at greater risk. AB would ship 100% dil bit through the TM pipeline if it could, knowing full well what that would do to gas prices in BC. And thats the "partner" we're supposed to be bending over for? With partners like that....
-
I think its fair to say the disappointment will permeate CDC for a quite while if that doesn't happen (particularly if EDM gets 1st oa), but its nice to dream about it.
-
well.... i guess thats why we have free movement of labour. If the toys are that important then go work in the patch I guess.
-
there's nothing to back up that '80 billion' thing. And TM hasn't "devastated" anything yet, they have a window between now and summer construction season which wouldn't start yet anyway to apply fake pressure and get some government funding. They're playing AB like a fiddle.
-
what did they say they were jealous of?
-
its the years of insults and bullying mentality. People remember things like Klein giving homeless people one way bus tickets to Vancouver. Harper took things to a whole new level tho, his hate for Vancouver was palpable. No one here believes that Alberta gives a rats hiney about the coast.
-
other than the occasional xenophobia, dismantling of Charter rights, using the notwithstanding clause to neuter the supreme court, anti-immigration and anti-multiculturalism stance whats not to like?
-
you're making a heck of a case for it. If the KM project goes through and the spill response infrastructure is there who knows, maybe this idea will make a comeback. It would take a very large NDP or Lib majority tho.
-
why would they? as a have-not they'd get all their transfer money from us, and according to them they should all be super grateful for it too. Lazy bums just have to sit there and collect the dough, amirite?
