I guess for me it feels like a massive amount of detail, with very little actual story. Its really hard to get into as a causal fan.

that does suck, he was great in that. Why are these companies determined to wreck something thats been working? HoD was pretty meh. I wouldn't bother revisiting it. It really had no significant story, no humour, no character to hate or root for.

[Rumour] Bo Horvat Trade/Contract Talks
JM_ replied to HOFsedins's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
yea I was pretty happy with all the mgmt changes but they haven't come close to righting the ship. Once of the reasons I'm now leaning team blow up (prob ~60% blow er up to 40% fix on fly) is I think they've already missed the window to fix the defence in time to match up with this groups actual window. The 2nd is annoying for sure, but the kid we picked with that is part of the next core. I'm also not impressed that they are still waiting on doing a deal with Bo, I mean how far off could they be? shit or get off the pot. Are we going for it with this group and willing to make some aggressive deals, or are we tanking? I guess the reality is this team is so bad right now that we don't actually need to burn any players to tank. -

no, but with a bit of luck covid wont have the same effect on shutting everything down again. Not sure people would stop going now anyway even with new variants. -

it is if you lock them in now, and the cap goes up to 95 mil in 3 seasons. -

also, never said it wasn't worth doing. I just don't believe we'll see this mgmt group try to do what you've suggested. -
its not this much of a blanket situation, its not like people are running around saying all kids should be cancelled for their actions. Again, this is about this particular kid and what he did. Blanket comments don't really get us anywhere. What has this particular kid done to try to correct what he did.

I think for Bo we need a full package of young roster guy, prospect and pick. Pu has a 16 NTC so we'd probably be on his list. -

just based on his experience. Sure maybe down the road he could be just as good defensively as Sutter was, he just isn't right now. But for sure he could develop that way. -
This team is pooched, why aren’t we playing the kids?

bingo Alf. Maybe with his new 10 year rogers deal locked down, he'll be more willing to do this. -

I think Demko needs to sit for most of this road trip, maybe start him in MTL. He's 60th in the league in GAA right now. Something is very wrong between the ears this season. Martin is our best shot at getting to .500 on this road trip. -

sure he's decent depth, but he's not going to move the needle in the same way. Sutter was really under appreciated here. -

I mean the entire team defensive approach. -

when they showed him with his helmet off last night, he looked defeated and tired, and we were still in the lead I think the issue is, maybe, that the team knows they don't really have the defensive depth to compete, and its just too hard to keep pressing for 60 minutes? doesn't seem to be a lot of belief in that room. -

certainly the F's are not doing the same job, particularly on the PK. Walker had the right answer there and I guess the lesson wasn't learned? seems odd to me that the coaches wouldn't just keep doing what Walker was. I actually like what Bear has been doing. Couple of minor mistakes maybe but overall I'd say he's our 3rd best d man now. -

remember when people used to complain about Sutter? it sure would be nice to have someone in the 3C role who knew how to close out a game. -
Elon Musk Officially Purchases Twitter, Takes Company Private

isn't this the whole point? Dem's losing contact with supporters and GOP gaining? I think the GOP numbers are probably Russian bots, but democratic supporters leaving twitter is something the GOP would be happy about. -
