  1. it certainly sounds like a Miller deal is too far apart to happen, so what I'd expect now is a Miller deal and QO for Brock. It kicks things down the road with him a bit, and they can still do something long term later in the summer or before camp when things are less busy.
  2. meh thats no fun. Why wouldn't they come here? this entire discussion for months has all been about unlikely theoretical stuff. I think it shows that there's more than one way to make a competitive team.
  3. that's a good start but nowhere near other clubs. It is what it is, I just think its going to take longer than others to create a real pipeline of players we can use and also trade, because thats part of it as well.
  4. so "nothing but Bo" to "inadequate" is our new benchmark?
  5. I'm hoping the CPC membership comes to its senses and chooses Charest. No BS, I will listen and consider what he has to say, and depending on the platform I will consider vote switching. If its PP, I'll just press the mute button, I know what he is.
  6. yep, that social con regressive crap just makes it impossible for me to consider them.
  7. ah. Well hopefully we can attract a few more college free agents as things go along here, that would help a lot.
  8. I actually want a strong opposition party, it would help to make some more sensible economic plans. But PP is just a whiney little hack populist and you're right, Trudeau can use this to show PP for what he is.
  9. they are and they do deserve better than what we're seeing on all sides, but I don't see why PP would be electable in 2025.
  10. really? most guys in the second round and later don't usually contribute meaningfully until they're 22-23.
  11. wow, Allvin's been busy. We'll we've never had so much talent in the front office before, its really top heavy now in good ways.
  12. you know what they say about being surrounded by stupid people all the time....
  13. pretty long shot odds on that tho. More likely thats just a 20-30. Nope we need to tankeroo if we want to beat out AZ for Bedard.
  14. I think the younger guys do leave all of it to the agents.
  15. So if it were up to you, and you had to trade players today to get 2023 picks, who are you moving? All of Miller, Bo, Myers, Pearson, Garland?
  16. Brock is likely leaving everything to his agent right now, I can't image he has the brain space for thinking about his contract. It certainly seems to me like the most likely trade we see this year is Brock if his agent is playing hardball on the QO.
  17. yep he is but if its not in the cards we need to pivot, imo. Can you imagine a generational player from North Van and what that would do to ticket sales? thats what they'd sell Aqua on.
  18. its like crack, once players get a taste of extra years and an extra million AAV its hard to go back.
  19. not officially, but thats clearly happening with Miller and Boeser. Its a bit disappointing, particularly the Boeser side I'd have hoped he'd be willing to be more reasonable, but I don't have any bad feelings towards the kid he has every right to go out and get the best deal he can. But, if these two really are on the table I want us to go full tankeroo. Lets just rip the band-aid off the Benning era and shoot for Bedard.
