wow. I guess it wouldn't be that big of a deal since CHI isn't going to be competitive anyway next year. I wonder how much of this would play into Keiths thinking, he probably doesn't want to hurt his old team. Although that wasn't an issue for Lu.
does this seem like a fairly run process to you? I can't believe that there isn't another arbitrator out there that could finish this sooner, it doesn't make any sense that it would be delayed past free agency, and that clearly is more problematic for Kane than anyone else. Add to that the NHL saying his next contract could be voided and it feels like the NHL is trying to force a settled outcome.
I don't like the buyout option, its not really worth it. Four years of dead cap isn't good.
There's a good chance a bottom feeder takes him for free, or if not he's a bit more tradable once he's cleared waivers.
um, you're the one dodging here. You claimed I said something that I didn't say, it would be nice of you to own up to that.
I've made it very clear what I'd like to see, page up to see it.
Myers, Pearson, Dickie, Poolman, 12 mil right there. Two are probably easy to move, two no so much but its going to cost something to fix the Poolman mistake. Dickie might be a waiver pickup for someone like Ottawa.
I tend to lean old school as well, but I don't mind this too much given that there is a pretty easy spot to slot him in to. If he stinks, you know Bruce will do what he has to and bench him if need be.
