  1. maybe we should just let the bots vote, and decide for themselves if they want to be part of twitter.
  2. sure but when someone waives 70+ mil in your face, pretty hard to turn down.
  3. they aren't, yet this deal seems OK. Funny that. Happy for the kid from Coquitlam.
  4. you'd think beating Detroit would be possible with spot starters or bull pen days, but then maybe they overwork them too heading into Friday. I think I'd prefer that the Jays host Seattle but no series will be easy. I'm glad they have two easy days tho. I'd like to see Moreno get a start, e.g. Fun times. Its the 1st year my wife has watched an entire season so thats been fun, pretty good year for her to get into it.
  5. sure but I'm thinking about having choices when guys are hot, who's injured, etc. Depth in starters is never bad to have. And just making the course of the whole season a little easier. Say e.g. Ryu stayed healthy and won 14 games again... do we pull ahead of NY? maybe.
  6. yeah could be. I mean might as well leave him in there. Watch him get an injury picking up a cracker today. I do think this team is one legit starter shy of what it will take, but if the bats wake up like they have at other times during the year then they could really go far. I really see this year as setting the stage for next season. If they can find two more starters somehow in the offseason look out.
  7. I think we'll see a lot of Kikuchi today. Man I really thought he'd turn it around but things just got worse for him, its a real shame.
  8. that was a weird one, didn't look that bad in real time at all.
  9. I thought mental health issues were things we were supposed to help others with? not sure why you're so angry about her or keen to see her suffer for something. It's almost personal with you.
  10. First off, those years aren't "gone" you grew as a person and had a relationship that ran its course. Sometimes that happens at 3 weeks, sometimes 5 years, sometimes 30 years. Second, the other folks here have it right, look after yourself and move on. Third, take the high road going forward. BTW that cooking thing is a gem, throw your current energy into improving that. Its how I landed my Italian wife
  11. I don't believe I've made an excuse or coddled anyone. We simply don't have the critical detail to make a decision one way or another on who's at fault, etc. But I can also have some basic sympathy for a young person who makes a mistake and pays for it, we don't need to be that cold to not at least acknowledge a person who might be having a difficult time. Doesn't mean you excuse anything, just recognize a time not to pile on, as if having never made a mistake either.
  12. why start now @Coconuts? of course you are correct. It has been a weird part of Canucks history, at least recent history. Should we have picked Bischell over JL? time will tell. I would be very surprised if next draft wasn't d heavy for us.
  13. fair point. or wait... are we supposed to argue more?
  14. we also don't know what happened, so its really impossible to make a specific judgment on this thing, or decide if a reputation was tarnished or not. All we know is something really abrupt happened.
  15. he is on a few metrics, which is what I would guess Friedman was getting at? Like I said, Bo is in the conversation for being among the best 2Cs, but he isn't the best 2C in the league.
  16. whoa, slow down there fella. I think Friedman is just being Friedman. Bo is certainly in the conversation for being one of the best 2C's around and he is comparable in some metrics with SC. https://frozenpool.dobbersports.com/frozenpool_compare.php?players[]=2900&players[]=3868&period=2022-2023%3AR%3A99 So maybe the comp is useful as a max ceiling? say e.g., if they only signed Bo to a 5 year deal.
  17. I don't think that anyone who's worked in an office environment or have had any management experience in pretty much any industry, e.g., would every say something like that.
  18. I love Bo, but that feels high. I guess we need to look at it in the context of an increasing cap and how expensive free agency can be, assuming anyone decent is still available and willing to come here.
  19. for sure, but I couldn't care less about the wins and losses, its meaningless. Take the game tonight, if Podz has a good game I'm happy. If Klim lays out Kane with a great hit, I'll be giddy. Edmonton winning? who gives a rats hiney.
  20. this is a neat opportunity for Klimovich as well to measure where he's at. it cracks me up how many people want to win the pre-season cup
  21. Pods and Garland together should be interesting tho. This is a great challenge for the other guys tho, I think they are all probably pretty pumped for the chance to play against this group.
  22. ah ok I thought we were over. So I guess the real question is, how can this help the Leafs?
  23. I think we know Kuzmenko is a lock for the lineup don't you? I think we'll learn a lot about the guys playing tonight, e.g., like how they handle adversity.
