  1. BB had the guys shooting more high danger chances, completely changed the PK, and playing more aggressively. Thats about as much as you could expect with a mid-season change.
  2. thats the thing with people-based things, you really just can never know how it will turn out. One thing's for sure, at least to me, is no one has the full picture on any hockey personnel decision and luck is always a big part of how these things turn out. Even getting Makar was a lucky break for Colorado, their intention was to win the lotto, but they lose it and end up with what looks like a generational d.
  3. if I have one critique of Bo its I would have liked to see him be a bit more physical. But maybe we'll see that, or more with the team overall, with this new look F group and an actual NHL coach.
  4. you could probably put a "2" in front of that number of cases and not be that far off. Happy to see the ICU cases down to 23 tho, thats they key number now imo.
  5. yeah I couldn't leave it I do think there's a lot to the theory that Bo has had sh!t line mates and still has managed to produce at a very consistent rate. I'm pretty pumped to see what he can do with actual high quality wingers for an entire year. Do I wish he'd be more aggressive from time to time? yes, I do. Does that make him a bad team mate, no. I'm very curious about what this team will be like and if they work more as a pack mentality and stand up a bit more. But thats also been declining in the NHL overall for a while now.
  6. its still hard to believe that someone picked this guy and Zagina over Hughes. And I can say Zagina because its my wife's joke about him.
  7. are you really asking why he didn't make Kennins better?
  8. Rutherford actually said he really likes Bo and hopes to keep him long term, dawg.
  9. You can be positive and support the team, and also be right as well on valuations. I mean look at the Miller thread, the people who were being labelled "homers" and "delusional" were also correct in the outcome. I don't believe being a homer or not has any bearing on how you view the market overall, or at least it doesn't have to. This Dallas trade e.g., is clearly betting on NL having a huge upside that he hasn't shown yet in a pro league. Dallas is betting that they've seen enough to take the risk, and be willing to miss out on a kid in a deep draft. Skepticism on this deal is warranted, imo.
  10. 18 mil for McBaby? why would any team do that on the back 1/2 of his career?
  11. $15 mil? thats what Matthews is going to want from TO holy crap we might see a number of insane contracts over the next two years
  12. kind of feel like he is what he is at this point, not sure there's a big turnaround in there. If he can be a useful 4th liner on COL thats OK given he'll likely be looking at league minimum and might even start the season on waivers.
  13. Not sure any player is worth it, particularly at the back end of this, but imo Mac does deserve to be paid more than McBaby at least up to now. Damn thats one hell of a payday.
  14. anyone who thinks X is better than X is delusional
  15. yep he's good on a big stage and could be a positive influence in the media for sure.
  16. it does. I get the argument that he's what you'd expect from a late round pick, but I think even that is a bit of a stretch given what he's done so far, and for how small he is. He isn't Hughes. Its kind of a weird move timing-wise for Dallas as well. It doesn't really help them for a few years if it does work out, you'd think this current draft would have a kid with as much potential.
