Linden only embraced the idea of a tear down once it was clear the Sedin re-jig was done. That seems to get glossed over a lot in discussions around here.
Its really too bad that Linden didn't start off with that idea from the outset, but no going back now.
that probably coincides with our local media going very negative and the endless "insider" rumour mill crappola. The local media hasn't done itself any favours in how its dealt with the team for a long time now, I'm not surprised at all that the team is considering cutting them out.
As long as the fans can access content via streaming, I don't really see the loss. Our local radio has been bad for a long time now.
I've always viewed Trudeau as more of a figurehead than a deep thinker driving policy. One thing I do like about JT is he's smart enough to know he needs to delegate, which he's done pretty well with Freeland and others.
He did poop the bed on Monseif and JW-R but we ran two elections on those issues.
I would guess we could have got him offering term, but clearly he's betting on a bigger payday next season. Good for him. Not sure why it took so long for him to land a deal tho?
I suppose, feels a bit like the Hischier captaincy to me, but maybe he's ready. Seems like unnecessary pressure to me, but then again they aren't expected to win many games so I guess he can grow into it?
we're also not where we were just a short time ago with historically low rates, you could lock in for 10 years at 2% for a while there. Thats now gone.
