  1. Gaunce is struggling. I'm not ready to quite give him the label of the four letter "B" word. However, I am getting closer with each passing game.
  2. Can someone provide some insight into how Jake is doing? Thanks
  3. He should go to the minors, he is just taking up a roster spot. Etem and Burr were just as useless in preseason.
  4. Gaunce has made it to the show. Lets see if he can prove some of the old haters wrong! I remember reading a guy named dangler on the gaunce prospect page. There were a few of those guys saying he would never be anything more then a 4th line C.
  5. You may love Burr but it is time for him to go. He is a great locker room guy to have around but that only gets you so far...
  6. He better play next preseason game. Etem can Etit
  7. People acting outraged because this guy needed another game? Give me a break. What difference does it make if he plays one more game and then gets cut? He is still getting cut. He has to prove with consistency that he can play well to earn a call up. Can't just walk on to the big club without racking up points.
  8. If Stecher keeps playing like this... 1. Keep him with the big club. 2. Trade or Waive Sbisa. 3. Play him with Tryamkin. Unreal pair. Edler Tanev Hutton Guddy Tryamkin Stecher Pedan Biega
  9. Yeah he played really well. I only said so-so because he had a couple bad turnovers in the first half of the game. I definitely prefer him to either Etem or Granlund
  10. He's looked so-so tonight, but he had a nice shot on that goal.
  11. Agree to disagree I guess. I just think sending him down to Utica has a potential for his confidence to be completely ruined. He will feel snubbed, and might run the risk of him not improving on himself once he's playing for Utica. Could discourage him. Making the NHL team will give him a huge boost of confidence, as it has to our other young players.
  12. I don't agree with you at all. I see it as a huge disappointment if he is playing on a "part time basis". Its almost becoming a headache. I have been a huge Gaunce fan since he was drafted and even I am getting worried. He needs to make a statement at camp. Only time will tell. If he fails, it will be a long season for him!
  13. I'm just saying that he needs to make the most of his opportunities this year. If he plays 20+ games this year he needs to muster more than 1G and 0A. Just calling a spade a spade.
  14. He's running out of time, thats for sure. Drafted in 2012, 4 years after the fact and its time to make the team. Either as a 4th liner or 13th forward. If he is going to get better then he needs to get used to playing with the big boys. If he doesn't make the team this year then he will have only one more year to avoid being called the b-word, bust.
  15. Why don't you think he will make the team out of camp? If he were truly ready than JB would make room for him.
  16. He could make the team this year I am not ruling that out. But only if he tears up camp.
  17. Dude is gonna be a stud. By far our best forward prospect.
  18. What are the expectations for Gaunce this year? It is interesting to look back in this thread, most people in the months and years after he was drafted thought he was a bonafide 3rd line center and would have made the roster by now. What happened?! I hope that his development is not totally ruined. He seems like a very smart player, just not quick enough at times to make a true difference in the game. When you can't back up your smarts with athleticism it doesn't look good.
