Kotkaniemi is not bad at all. 

we need defensemen. if they buyout OEL and poolman and trade myers we will need 3 top 4 defensemen to correct are blueline  if kotkaniemi is part of the deal okay. we haven't had great success with fins but who knows. hopefully someone like scott morrow would come back in the deal.

AI has vastly improved, however the most noticeable facet is the goalies. They are actually incredibly hard to score on. 
 

Also, they made it so that if you try that bullshit coast in your own zone, after about 15-20 seconds, the player you’re controlling is slowed to the point where it barely skates or distributes the puck making it easier for the opposing team to stick it from you. No more of that coasting for time crap when you’re up a goal.

Haven’t bought a sports game since NBA 2k19. Haven’t bought NHL since NHL12. Sports games are fun but only worth it every few years, too redundant and games modes have reached its peak.

Ottawa might be the last Cdn team that got to dump Pri$ey vet contracts for wonderful returns. Finally GM's league-wide are waking up. Opening AAV cap space(from dealing established vets) can potentially be a superstar, who has no John Henry/identity to speak of.

If we can get a cost controlled RHD/3rd line RHC, our team can definitely compete. And I think we already got that latter.  
 

I have a feeling Dakota Joshua could potentially be that 3rd line centerman. He put up some solid bottom 6 numbers in those 30 games playing only 8 minutes a night. He was dominant in the AHL playoffs, and Rutherford said he’s someone who he thinks may very well take that next step. He’s not an enforcer like MacEwen, but will drop the gloves and play a nasty game. Very intrigued. Especially since he’s got that one way contract. 
 

If we can somehow get a cost controlled RHD, perhaps maybe Ethan Bear who could be on the verge of breaking out, we could be set.

It's looking better than it did but I still think we'll need to move 1-3 forwards out to try and improve our defense. That cap space is gonna have to come from somewhere and given our weak prospect pool any D we acquire via trade will likely cost at least a top six forward.
