  1. He’s going to hit 70 this year. Even then I’m still taking a crippled Tanev at 50-60 games over any one of our dmen other than Hughes. He did too much carrying back there to let go.
  2. Ya at that price it’s a no for me. I still think he would be a good fit here, just not at that price though. I did like that idea of brining in a guy like Lemieux. Miss being that team everyone hated.
  3. It was really a nothing move. But no, we lost HOF’er Tyler Motte. Should’ve signed him to a 6x6. Seriously though, some people on here saying things like Motte is the reason we are going to miss the Playoffs is crazy. Love Motte, on and off the ice. Enjoy free agency man and get paid, just won’t be from us. I will reserve judgement on management until they start making some serious moves regarding guys like Miller, Boeser, Garland, etc. Not too excited about bringing in another rookie GM, but I’ll try to stay optimistic. Maybe JR is running the show
  4. What do you think Domi will go for the off-season? His current cap hit is 5.3 million based on cap friendly unless I’m seeing it wrong. I can see Domi excelling with Bo and Garland but I don’t think we will have the money for him.
  5. Injury thing is way overblown. He played pretty much 70 games that year. Not even close still Tanev > OEL. Also, it’s likely he’s injured, or maybe not, but OEL has been awful these last 10 games.
  6. Tanev > OEL and Myers. It’s not even close. Not only does Tanev have more points, he is far superior defensively. Flames got a gift. Even Elder looked strong to start the season this year before his injury. The loss of Markstrom was fine until he went to a divisional rival. But in JB’s defence what are you really going to do. Trade him in a bubble Playoff race?
  7. Richardson is not a Motte replacement. He just here to finish of the season. Really has nothing to do with Motter. We just can’t have another centre go down with an injury. I can maybe agree with you on the Juulsen part, he could’ve maybe finished out the season. However, there is no doubt Dermott is the better player. Deadline In: Dermott, 4th Round Pick Deadline Out: Hamonic, Motte Until the off-season comes and Motte walks. How much of an impact is Motte going to have on us making the Playoffs. He’s a 4th liner that is fast and kills penalties. We’ve been doing fine on the PK since he’s left. 9/10. Against teams that included the Wild and Avs. Sorry but I just find it comical when you say things like:l this over a 4th liner: “Imagine missing the playoffs by 2 points because you wanted a 4th round pick instead?”
  8. Maybe, but so far, the team has held their ground on the PK since losing Motte. Who needs Motte on the PK when we have elite PK specialist and future Selke winner Elias Fredrik Pettersson.
  9. If the price is right. Wanted Lemieux on this team for the last couple of years. Also agree, need to bring back the embrace the hate mantra. Need to be that team that other teams hate playing against again. The current Wild team has done a good job of that.
  10. How much of a difference would Motte have made for our so-called Playoff run? Lammiko and Highmore have been holding their own. PK has been at 90% last three games. Seems like we are doing just fine without Motte. We could have used him, but it's better to get something rather than nothing for a guy who likely walks in off-season.
  11. This is the reaction that should have happened to losing Tanev. The guy that was single handedly carrying this team defensively. Not Motte.
  12. Well, would you have been okay with letting Motte walk during FA? They tried to strike a deal with Motter till' the very end, couldn't come up with anything so they moved him. Other players in Motte's tier were also moved for 4th round picks. Motte was an effective 4th liner who was fast and could kill penalties. Easily replaceable? No. However, he was not a game changer like some fans are making it seem. Classic CDC overreaction. Love Motter but at the end of the day this is a business. BB has done a good job building bottom 6 players. Lammiko was getting scratched under Green. Now he looks like a reliable and effective bottom 6 guy who can produce every now and then. Look at Highmore. Hopefully, we can build Lockwood into something, he is fast and not afraid to throw a hit. Losing Motte just opens up doors for guys like Lockwood. Richardson is just here to finish off the season, nothing more. Likely means that Dickinson is done for the season. The real judgment of management will be determined based on how they deal with our top guys. Sign or trade Miller. Sign or trade Boeser. What are we doing with Garland, all these rumours going into the deadline? How can we rebuild our defence. And so on..
  13. You don't miss the Playoffs because of 4th liners lol.
  14. Captain on pace for 30+ goals.

We’re gonna get playoff Bo this week and next and he’ll hit 30 easily imo.

  15. I will wait till' offseason to make a judgement on this management group. There is really no win-win with the Motte trade. Keep him and let him walk in off-season. Overreaction. Trade him for a 4th, which was what his type of players like Appleton were going for. Overreaction. I was okay with the Motte trade, going to lose players you like, part of the game. When JR and BB was coming in, I was excited, we were going after guys with experience. Sick of the rookie coaches and GM's. However, I have to say not too pleased with singing all these new rookie GM's. I guess it's difficult to find an experienced GM with a good track record. I'll try to be optimistic and wait and see what they do from here on out. The leash is short though.
  16. What is that now 3 straight teams where he is toxic. Love UD sticking up for Spo.
  17. I agree, hopefully he keeps that mindset for a couple of more years.
  18. Thank you hockey god for giving the Oilers this weak goaltending duo.

How does Draisaitl get 4pts and still end up -4 on the night lol?

      King Heffy

Well Draisitl is allergic to backchecking and plays in front of an AHL defence and ECHL goaltending.

  19. Can't lie, JG has been unbelievable tonight. Might be the best hockey, I've seen for him. What is that 5 assists tonight..
  20. Sens and Panthers playing one of the best 3on3 OT’s I’ve ever seen.
