along these same lines, many people seem to expect that not only do we need to win every transaction, but the other team needs to lose. this isn't realistic. normally you get what you pay for. every other GM looks at each transaction the same way we do, except with way more info than we have. and of course they all want something for nothing, and to win while others lose, but obviously it can't happen... maybe once in a while. as long as we win, the other team can win too for all I care. who knows, might even make that GM more likely to deal kindly with JB next time. as noted, if Miller performs to his potential, this deal is a win, and therefore the price is fair.

wow. with the history of narrow-minded ill-informed eastern-biased, BS click bait journalism we've seen over the years, you really seem to take offense to this insignificant oversight sure did love watching Nazzy tho..

Miller for me.. seemed to me he was almost always a professional, despite shouldering a horrific workload most nights. honourable mention to Vanek, who I thought was worth resigning. -
likely why he's gone...

this is a good move for JP.. he can work on getting his mojo back playing in a decent league. and gives the finger to the Oil for treatment received. on the other hand, the oilers don't give in to the demands of a player that they don't feel has earned anything. and they don't give away a potential gem for peanuts. different details, but it kind of reminds me of the Drouin situation - get your $#!t together and play like the high end pro you are supposed to be, or piss off.

exactly my thoughts on SJ.. their goaltending is weak but they do have a pretty good D core. I think they'll be 2nd behind Vegas or maybe 3rd behind Calgary -

interesting banners at the top there.. the Oilers were 'slumping' in 82.. who knew? they were already quite a powerhouse, finished 2nd in the league that year also interesting about the Rockies moving to Ottawa.. didn't know OTT was even in the expansion picture back then.

lol those shorts are a bit of a salute to the late 80's, early 90's.. looks like something I wore back in the day. I always knew my fashion sense was very cutting edge.. if I wasn't wearing a 50lb lard jacket, I could fit into those throwback shorts and be cool again
