  1. fully agree.. it's tough to do but hey - aweome is awesome except the rodent... no applause there
  2. balls.. that sounds miserable. gotta assume that team doctors would be all over this, but I'm guessing they can only work with the info relayed from sven himself.. could be trying to hit a moving target? If the Denver thing was legit, they should err on the side of caution. I mean, even if a guy could fly without issues, it's not the same as the physical exertion from playing the game
  3. nice! did you catch that highlight segment from the Colorado feed? I didn't notice any music, but the colour guy was really going on about it..
  4. apparently in Denver there is 17% less oxygen.. I know nothing about concussions, is there any chance playing in the mile high city brings about symptoms?
  5. Canucks’ Thatcher Demko out 10 days with ‘slight sprain’ Josh Beneteau February 7, 2019, 1:47 PM The Vancouver Canucks will be without goalie Thatcher Demko while he recovers from what head coach Travis Green is calling a “slight sprain.” Vancouver Canucks ✔@Canucks Demko has a “slight sprain” and is out approximately 10 days, said Coach Green. No update on Baertschi. 89 10:20 AM - Feb 7, 2019 Twitter This puts the the Canucks in a tough spot, as OHL goaltender Michael DiPietro remains with the club on an emergency basis and both of their AHL goaltenders, Ivan Kulbakov and Michael Leighton, are not signed to NHL contracts. Demko suffered the injury in warmup before Monday’s win over the Philadelphia Flyers. Jacob Markstrom is expected to make his sixth straight start against the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday. Unless the team makes another move, the 19-year-old DiPietro can remain with the Canucks for as long as the “emergency” that prompted his recall is in effect. While it’s unlikely he’ll get into a game without an injury to Markstrom, DiPietro says he’s still enjoying the experience. “It’s definitely a cool opportunity, stepping on the ice and soaking it all in and just being around the guys,” he said Wednesday. “I’m just going to take it for the experience and what it is and just kind of soak it all in.”

  7. yes! just drop that shoulder into them and drive the net.. 60% of the time, it works every time
  8. agree with most of that. I'd like to aim higher than booth tho.. he had his moments of glory, but I feel like he was inconsistent in that area as well.. Jake is another player who needs a specific skill set to complement his own.. and then watch him go! haven't given up on him yet
  9. I seem to remember Kesler going thru a phase like that.. tough to watch
  10. I'd rather do both if we can.. there's still value in just making the playoffs, even if only 4 games. I just don't want to sacrifice anything to get there. I'd say our D is horrible without Ed and /or Tan, but if someone is willing to overpay, bring it on.. especially if Eddie comes back..
  11. I hope you're right.. it might be a bit different as a d man, but yeah I doubt he'll be worse than Derek Poolander
  12. I get this feeling of pride watching his highlights, grinning as if he was my kid. I wonder if JB takes time out to watch highlights and grin like the rest of us..
  13. funny I don't remember Schneid being all that bad.. maybe it was just in contrast to Lu, who made me cover my eyes any time he left the crease
  14. oh I'm sure they all would have been Hall of famers if we hadn't mis-managed their development
  15. exactly.. I guess we'll see how it plays out
  16. or (long shot) he might have done every team a favor at his own expense. nylander has completely lost his mojo, and is a bit of a laughing stock. how many rfa's might think twice about being the next star to miss camp & preseason & sit out 35 games and get a nice contract, only to turn into the next joke of the league..? the hold-out happens so rarely and it may never happen again.. Maybe dumbass actually shifted power back to the gm's?
  17. copied this from nhl.com... I'm assuming it's the same for skaters & goalies Rookie Qualifications. To be considered a rookie, a player must not have played in more than 25 NHL games in any preceding seasons, nor in six or more NHL games in each of any two preceding seasons. Any player at least 26 years of age (by September 15th of that season) is not considered a rookie
