  1. They can hold out together again if they want to. Gives them more leverage.
  2. No, Boes is grandfathered. QO is now linked to the AAV instead of the final year salary.
  3. I'm fine with bridges for both as well. I just think, in a perfect world, you would guarantee for the club that this shi*t show won't happen again but at this point just get it done, JB
  4. If this is accurate and/or the boys come in at the same term, I would think that's an area where JB gave into their demands. I'm sure he would have been pushing for differing lengths of term and that may have been important to CAA. Both sides will give up something. I wouldn't blame JB for saying "F it" on that particular point though. Seeing as it may not be him anyway and we need to end this now.
  5. If anyone wants to feel (a little) more positive... There's a good article here on recent RFA's who signed after the start of training camp or into the regular season and their performance when they stepped back in. Players like: M. Tkachuk, Laine, K. Connor, Gudreau, Trouba etc. etc. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/late-rfa-signings-recent-cases-resolved-players-performed/
  6. Sometimes I think all my anger toward Petey and Hughes is making me a terrible person… Then I read your posts and instantly feel that I’m not as terrible as others. Thank you
  7. Haha you mean this?? (Sorry, I don’t know how to embed tweets. Someone tell me…) In any case THIS is not a valid source. Unfortunately
  8. Oh man, if it’s true that the agents are pushing hard for the same term and hurting the team because of it I’d be even more disappointed in 40/43 for letting this drag on and on. I’m so done with this
  9. Yes, thank you for making me feel sane... This is the kind of thing we won't really know until one of the guys eventually exits the org (hopefully years from now) and points back to this negotiation as a turning point. I don't think 40/43 realize what the true cost of this moment is for them, the org, and fans. Many/most will immediately forgive and forget but this is certainly the kind of thing that changes the dynamics. Petey wants it all. Massive personal pay day and all the trophies in his case. I wish he was taking advice from the Sedins instead of the Hughes', Tkachuks, and Jerry Maguire's worst nightmare. NM saying he wants to take a little under market on his next deal too shows the heart of a captain and someone actually willing to pay the price to help build a winner.
  10. Just wished he wouldn't of signed with all the uncertainty then. Would've been nice for the team to get a sense of where they actually were on D over the last couple months. Seems to me that signing and then simply not reporting is worse possible case for the organization. But maybe no one really cares about the org these days... Petey *cough* Quinn *cough* OK, maybe I am a little angry. I'll take a 5 minute break...
  11. Yes, he did. I guess he can ride the calder win into holding the team hostage. I was more thinking about the fact that he's played in like one playoff series and never passed the second round. I can't believe he turned down between 7 and 8 on a bridge. And is skipping camp/preseason when that offer was on the table. I thought the kid had a little more sense than that. I'm losing respect
  12. Do you have a link? I can't find that and haven't heard it. If that's the case I don't know who the hell 40 thinks he is. He's won F all in this league. If he won't accept 7-8 on bridge, what the hell is he expecting?
  13. I agree, it's tough to watch right now. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be for TG and JB. We really need a few wins in these areas fast. Motte obviously is what it is. Wish him a speedy recovery. Sutter, same thing. But Hamonic, Hughes, Petey should figure it the f*&^ out and stop dragging the whole team through their BS and/or indecision.
  14. I wasn't happy how long it took Bo or Brock to get done. But, that said, the situations have almost nothing in common. Horvat signed before camp and Boeser, in addition to signing earlier than 40/43, had just gone through a major, life altering family event with his Father. Also, neither Bo or Brock teamed up with other teammates to try to strong-arm the team. This time around has an entirely different smell to it.
  15. I never thought this date would matter to us, at least not with 40/43. Get the f*%# to camp boys. I want to be able to forgive you once you sign.
  16. This is such a stupid “ problem” people keep on bringing up. My understanding is anything 4 years and up walks Petey to Free Agency. So the only way to not do that is to sign him for 3 or less. Is your understanding that anything over 3 years for Pettersson is a bad deal?? We can’t control what Petey does in Free Agency but IMO the team should be trying to lock him up as long as possible. 5 is a hell of a lot better than 1,2,3, or 4.
