  1. I'd like to see an interim coach (Brad Shaw) for the rest of the year with Benning not allowed to make any big moves (trades, new acquisitions). As soon as the season ends, Install a new GM and let him go after his coach.
  2. We had some leaders in that room. Glue guys. Heart and soul guys. Our young “stars” weren’t ready to be them. They still needed time to play with them, learn from them. IMO that is one of the biggest mistakes this mngmt group has made in eight years. Guys like Tanev, Marky, Edler, even Stetch made the locker room work.
  3. We'll see what happens if they lose to the Jets Friday. Feels like we have a powder keg situation. I'm at the game tomorrow at will lead a group to storm the owner's box and take control of the team if we lose by more than 3
  4. I miss the Summer when I thought we had two pp lines that could score... Just one would be amazing at this point
  5. My wife just said it: "It takes fortitude to be a Canuck's fan." Yes, yes it does
  6. That would be a very 'Canuck' thing to do.... In all seriousness, what they really need is High-end NHL experience behind the bench and in the front office. They need the kind of people who get respect when they walk in the room. The problem with people of that caliber is they demand freedom to do what they want. We need a president who oversees the GM to create a buffer between GM and owner. My sense is that was the role Linden was told he'd play, but in the end it became obvious it was the Aquilini way or the highway. If an owner wants more control he'll gravitate toward coaches and GM's with less experience. Until Aquilini says "Here's all the money you need" and lets go completely of hockey ops we have no chance because the people we need won't come work here.
  7. Fully agree with this This isn’t coaching. It’s organizational. Need a new GM with his own new Head Coach
  8. Only noticed Petey on his penalty and then terrible attempt on the breakaway
