  1. Incompetence aside, one cannot believe this rump of a forum is sitting here on life-support "just because"? Really. Those that "know" Vintage Canuck who seems to be part of the Vancouver Canucks front office ask him/her/they/them/it/what?!? the following question, "will the Canucks bring back this forum once ..... ahh what is the point. The Vancouver Canucks bank on their fans staying solid no matter how they are treated. There will always be a solid fan base and sadly I am one of them no matter how the front office treats us fans ... heck, I buy shitty beer at 4 times the price of it across the street at Shark Club just for the privilege of drinking it live at game, LOL - and will continue to do so whenever I buy a ticket to a live game.
  2. Any NEWBIE stumbling across this, come here New site --> https://www.canucksfanforum.com/ Why you ask, well, for one if you were on the new site you might have had drinks bought for you at the New Jersey Game tomorrow ... and we all know drink prices are how they are going to pay Petey's next contract Confused, go over to the new site and find out
  3. In for the last post ever, maybe, here. Move over to the other site --> https://www.canucksfanforum.com/ ... pull up a chair, grab a beer, stay awhile. Over 70 pages for the Coilers preseason game! Will be a lively forum site.
  4. Let's assume that PA puts in a claim and he becomes a Canuck. What are the rules on waiving a player just picked up off of waivers? Could the Canucks waive him in September if for some reason they didn't clear enough cap space to carry him on the books - setting aside the "where in the depth chart does Z-man fit" for a moment? This is a hypothetical whereby PA puts in a claim and then figures out what to do with him later. Yes, spending Aquaman's money like a drunken sailor.
  5. Apparently there is a deal with San Jose in place, sources abound on the Internet, so hopefully this is true. I wonder what the actual deal would be to have the Chaos Giraffe fly south in September.
  6. Question: Can the Canucks trade / offload the buyout recapture to another team? Just wondering if such a devious idea is even possible.
  7. Q: What has no one ever said A: I'll take Florida Panthers and Las Vegas Knights for the SCF for $800. WoW, will be a brand new Stanley Cup winner this year. Go Vegas, the lesser of two weevels.
  8. Which is why Bettman will actually lower the cap by at least $2M this coming season.
  9. Well now https://www.canucksdaily.com/Connor-Bedard-in-Vancouver-Crazy-trade-proposal-involving-three-teams-and-a-dozen-of-assets-235782 LoL
  10. It would almost be worth the entertainment value alone to take on Bedard and pay a "bit" of a penalty to watch Buttman try and spin his way out of "Bedard says no to Chicago" situation
  11. I would agree with this sentiment whole-heartedly. While I would love to see Bedard in Vancouver someway, the "Lindros-route" would be a lot to stomach as a hockey fan in general. That and Bettman would impose a penalty of "no 1st round picks for you for the next decade Vancouver" no matter whether Vancouver was an innocent bystander or not.
  12. Bored and just taking a little break so posing a highly unlikely hypothetical situation. No, Bedard doesn't show up at the draft or states at any time before the draft, "I won't play for the Blackhawks, I will only play for team A, B or C". Instead he just refuses to sign an ELC, which will be offered the moment he steps onto the stage draft day. What happens then? I know he can't just go and sign with another team (one wishes, LOL), but could he go and play overseas? Does he go back into the draft after a certain time or does he become a free agent after a certain number of years - even if playing overseas in the meantime while refusing to sign an ELC. Oh well, back to work now.
  13. Trading away draft picks to guarantee a Stanley Cup Win - 2 1st rounders, 3 second rounders and a smattering of others Practising raising the cup - chicklets from the Rat next game in Vancouver Getting smoked in the 1st round - PRICELESS This made me smile ... to know cupboards they be bare soon Tyler Bertuzzi - UFA, cost a 1st round pick Dmitry Orlov - UFA, cost a 1st, 3rd and 5th round pick Garnet Hathaway - UFA, part of the Orlov 1st+ package ... oh the joy.
  14. Just saw this result and ... WOOHOO GO KRAKEN GO! Dreaming of an Oilers / Kraken final ... really dreaming ... which would be a real trick as they are in the same conference.
