  1. The former Whitecap Alphonso Davies in traditional bavarian clothes with a big glass of dark white beer in his hand. He seems to be fascinated by the dark colour of this white beer. The whole FC Bayern Munich football team dressed up for the upcoming famous Oktoberfest in Munich. Personally I have 3 weeks off beginning with the first day of the Oktoberfest. Plenty of time to go to the Oktoberfest couple of days a week to enjoy the Munich fresh beer (love Paulaner, which is one of the oldest breweries in Munich, it was founded 1328) and some grilled fish.
  2. It's a business. If Canucks and Miller's camp don't find common ground on term and money they have to trade him. Simple as that. Nothing more to say. Could have signed him but obviously both sides are far apart in terms of money and term.
  3. Stefen Rosner from My Hockey Now covering the Isles with a proposed package for a JT Miller trade: Mayfield (RHD), Bolduc (LHD), Holmstrom (winger) + 1st round pick for JT Miller (500.000 $ retained) and Luke Schenn. Isles would still have to waive one player like Panik to make the cap work. I can't see that Canucks would bite.
  4. Just another example for the poor draft decisions made by the former Canucks management around Jim Benning and John Weisbrod. Jett Woo still playing in the minors while Romanov has already more than 100 NHL games under his belt and there are still Canucks fans that hold the view that Jim Benning drafted well. HaHa Ha. Laugh my ass off.
  5. 1. What are the odds for making the playoffs with the same D-Corps and Dickinson as 3C? 2. Do Canucks even have the necessary cap space short and long term to re-sign JT Miller? 3. Isn't JT Miller Canucks best trade chip to fix the right side on Defense?
  6. This dribbling is incredible - one of the best I've ever seen, especially from a woman . The cherry on top of the cake is that she hits the back of the net after this fabulous dribbling.
  7. Listening to Boogie Woogie makes me feel great. Found out just recently how great Boogie Woogie sounds. Creates tons of good vibes and makes me feel really happy.
  8. He will get paid hundreds of thousands of swiss franc - abbreviation CHF. 1. Great place to live, Zurich is directly located next to a beautiful lake. 2. Swiss league is a pretty good league in Europe. I would consider the league to be within the top 5 in Europe (SHL, Liga, DEL, Swiss League, Czech League). 3. will make more money in Switzerland than in other leagues in Europe like in Germany in the DEL. Good decision.
  9. Jim Benning and his staff made the wrong call signing Tucker Poolman as a free agent in the offseason 2021. Cody Ceci would have been the far better option even though he gets a little more salary than Poolman (3,250.00 Ceci vs. Poolman 2,500.000). Ceci with great stats during the playoff's with Edmonton. Ceci and Holl being ranked in the upper right quarter surprised me the most when looking at this chart.
  10. Indeed the Isles are eyeing Bailey's contract to get moved in order to create the necessary cap space for 1) re-signing Dobson 2) signing Romanov and 3. signing free agent KAdri. "As of now veteran Josh Bailey and his $5 million cap hit seem like the most critical contract to move, but moving contracts of that magnitude is not an easy task in today’s NHL. Especially when teams that have the cap space are aware of what a team like the New York Islanders are trying to do, which gives a team like the Seattle Kraken, Arizona Coyotes, and Chicago Blackhawks, to name a few, leverage." Currently they have around 11 M cap space. If they want to sign Kadri they have no other choice but to shed salary. Kadri won't come cheap after his 28 goal season with the AV's. Interesting side note: AV's reportedly offered Kadri only a short term contract (most likely a 1 year deal).
  11. It's extremely difficult to make big moves. Just look at OEL and Myers and their big contracts. How do you get rid of their contracts ? How do you trade a player like OEL with this contract given the fact that most teams lack cap space. Once the Arizona/VAN deal was announced on draft day including OEL + Garland / VAN's 1st round pick, 2nd round pick, Roussel, Loui Player Name and Beagle I wrote that this was the worst trade in Canucks history. 1 year later the new management is trying to trade OEL and Garland.
  12. the semi final at the european soccer championship (women ) between Germany and France was a hell of a game. Both teams played a straight forward game pushing forward to create scoring chances whenever the opportunity was there. Here are the highlights from this game (in GErman language). European championship is hosted by england. The final will be England vs. Germany on Sunday.
  13. What about shifting the focus to teams that we reportedly in deep talks with Gaudreau / Tkachuk? Those teams that missed out on Gaudreau / Tkachuk are most likely the ones that are curently working on plan B (JT Miller). One of these teams have exactly what the Canucks are looking for : a Cale Makar 2.0. . Curious if JR and PA see the same things as I.
  14. If I were Jim Rutherford I would do it quick and dirty: I would attach a 2nd round pick to Tyler Myers and send him to the Arizona Coyotes. The Yotes are the right partner to get this done. They love to add draft picks and VAN love to create cap space. I don't want to watch the Giraffe two more seasons in a Canucks jersey.
  15. What about Nazem Kadri to the Calgary Flames? Flames have 9M + in cap space and therefore can afford a player like Kadri. Wouldn't it be fun for the rivalry with the Canucks to see Kadri wearing a Flames sweater?
  16. Does Kadri make any sense for the Islanders ? I mean Islanders are pretty deep on C with Barzal and Nelson as their top two centers. Islanders are in dire need of an elite goal scoring winger for their top 6. From my perspective it's unlikely that Islanders are going after Kadri. Latest speculation on the Island is Vladimir Tarasenko from the St. Louis blues. What about other options for the New York Islanders? Stefen Rosen of NYI Hockey NOW: Just because it did not work in 2021 does not mean it could work in 2022. That is correct. Vladimir Tarasenko trade rumors have resurfaced once more. Could Lou Lamoriello take a second kick at the can? It’s a great question. There looks to be some renewed movement here. No one knows what that means. St. Louis does have cap space issues and Tarasenko has one more year of that $7.5 million deal. Jordan Kyrou and Ryan O’Reilly need contract extensions eventually so there is that to consider also. Robert Thomasrecently inked an eight year deal worth $8 million AAV. So, Doug Armstrong has some things to ponder.
  17. Do the Canucks even have a regional scout in Belarus? Canucks / Benning went off the boards with taking Klimovich in the second round. I can't remember only a single draft ranking that had Klimovich in the second round. I didn't like the pick on draft day. Canucks could have drafted a Center with this 2nd round pick. I think it's risky picking a prospects that Benning / Weisbrod watched playing only during the U-18's. The reasons for selecting Klimovich might have been the fact that he is a LW, the frame, the production in his draft season and his shot which is above average. Curious to see how this will play out for Canucks.
  18. Thing with Kemell is that he missed some games in his draft season due to a injury. Once he came back from injury he wasn't quite the player he has been before his injury. I think this is the main reason why he dropped on draft day. I remember that some scouting services had him ranked in the top 10. Based on skill and the production this high ranking was justified. For me it wasn't a surprise to see him selected outside the top 10 on draft day, because of the injury, the fact that he is a winger and his frame. Only time will tell if Nashville landed a steal with Kemell at 17th.
  19. Fitzgerald deeply disappointed that it hasn't played out the way he hoped:
  20. yup Pens are working on a trade - this tweet was posted yesterday - ....
