  1. Morin being upset because Flyers were defeated by the Rangers with 9:0 and 8:3 in the last two games.
  2. Sabres coaches in protocol Buffalo Sabres: Statement last night for two coaches going into COVID protocol. “In accordance with NHL COVID-19 protocols, Interim Head Coach Dan Granato and Interim Assistant Coach Matt Ellis are self-isolating and are unavailable for tonight’s game in Pittsburgh. General Manager Kevyn Adams will be on the bench tonight and will serve as head coach for the game.”
  3. Jim hurry up . if you want to keep your job as Canucks GM you can't run out of time again.
  4. India, one of the world's largest producers of coronavirus vaccines, has temporarily halted all exports of the AstraZeneca vaccine citing the need to prioritise domestic needs. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-55571793
  5. That's a blow for all countries outside the european union that have agreements in place with Astra Zeneca for the supply of astra zenecas vaccine. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-eu-vaccines/eu-pledges-to-keep-astrazeneca-doses-in-the-bloc-for-now-idUSKBN2BI1ZH The European Union will ensure that coronavirus vaccines produced by AstraZeneca within the bloc stay there until the company returns to fulfilling its delivery commitments, Internal Market Commissioner Thierry Breton said on Friday. Canada one of the countries that will be affected by this...
  6. The Oilers know exactly what they are looking for TSN: Frank Seravalli when asked what the Edmonton Oiler top priority is ahead of the NHL trade deadline. “Well James, it might not be splashy but I think the Edmonton Oilers have their eye on a very specific piece at a very specific price. That’s a right shot centre who can take faceoffs, and win them on the penalty kill where they’ve struggled this year, just 42 per cent shorthanded that can help their kill. So who fits that bill? Well how about Luke Glendening who’s not coming back to the Detroit Red Wings. He’s the guy that leads the league in faceoff percentage this season, can also kill penalties and has a cheap cap hit. There’s two other guys that don’t require a seven-day quarantine and that would be Vancouver’s Brandon Sutter and Calgary’s Derek Ryan, although they have higher caps hits, more cap gymnastics there. And the price? Well the Oilers have traded their second, third and fifth-round picks so they’d like to do all that for a fourth-round pick if they can. We’ll see what kind of magic Ken Holland has up his sleeve.” I doubt that Jim would be willing to send Sutter to EDM for a fourth round pick.
  7. seems like all canadian teams will be affected by the COVID 19 cases of the Montreal Canadians with a revised schedule to be announced soon.
  8. I think it's too early for some speculation, because there are some variables we do not know, yet, for example the final rankings and especially the results of the draft lottery.
  9. Oh wait, it's harder to draft the right players with some top 10 picks than signing and trading for bottom 6 players and 3 rd pairing D-Men. No. No. Fully disagree with this one. Handing generous contracts with way too much term to the likes of Beagle and Roussel was poor negotiation from Jim and or his team.
  10. I am wondering why the folks from Post Media (Kuzma, Daniel Wagner, Ian Mc Intyre, Jeff Paterson, Thomas Drance) haven't asked Travis about Juolevi .... Kind of strange...
  11. nice mix: the refs are from four different provinces, Alberta, Sasketchewan, Ontario and British Columbia. I am pretty sure they will pull off some magic tonight together.
  12. Ray Ferraro: “1) I find it interesting the outrage of many about Tim Peel and his comment. Many subscribe to “refs get in the way, shouldn’t call so many penalties or they let too many go”…those ideas quickly lead to make up calls. My thought is to simplify it all. Call the rule book. Ha, Ha. sounds like I have Ray on my side. !
  13. Matt Duchene's perspective: After Viktor Arvidsson was called for tripping Jon Merrill on Tuesday, a voice was heard on the broadcast saying, "It wasn't much, but I wanted to get a &^@#in' penalty against Nashville early in the ..." before the audio cut out. "He told our bench that, so I mean, really bizarre. I just think it can’t happen," Predators forward Matt Duchene said on the ‘Robby & Rexrode’ show on ESPN radio Wednesday morning. "Imagine the scenario where they score on that power play, we lose the game and we miss the playoffs by a point. Imagine that scenario. That can happen, right? That can happen based on — that’s not out of the realm of possibility. I don’t think there’s a place in hockey for that. You’ve got to call the game. I’ve always been frustrated when I see even-up calls." Sums it up pretty good. Nothing more to say.
  14. It was, but it shouldn't be part of their jobs. Their job is soley to enforce the rules. Period.
  15. Vancouver Canucks and Tanner Pearson to talk soon TSN: Darren Dreger said that Vancouver Canucks GM Jim Benning is going to be talking with Tanner Pearson’s agent Joe Resnick soon on a potential contract extension. “Tanner Pearson earns $3.75 million. This is the final year of his contract, so do the Vancouver Canucks have the wherewithal to meet that or go above $3.75 million? Again, discussions about to get going and then it’s up to the Canucks to decide what happens with Pearson after that.” More than $3.75 -no thanks.
  16. Nashville wouldn't bite. TSN: Pierre LeBrun said that Predators defenseman Mattias Ekholm remains the top defenseman that could be available at the trade deadline, and he’s not coming cheap. “It is a three-asset ask to get in on the bidding for Ekholm, which is a first-round pick, an elite prospect and a third asset which can take on different forms. That’s a lot, and part of that is that the Nashville Predators don’t have to trade Mattias Ekholm at this deadline. He’s signed through next season and really, there’s also the internal debate for Nashville; is their best offer at this deadline when contending teams believe they can get Ekholm for two playoff runs, or is it after the July expansion draft when teams who are interested in him no longer have to worry about their protection issues.”
  17. pure vaccine nationalism by the UK: Bottom line should be to fight COVID 19 TOGETHER. Unfortunately that's not the mindset of our friends in the UK. Ursula von der Leyen said AstraZeneca in particular could face export bans to countries outside the EU if it didn’t quickly meet its agreed targets "before you start to deliver to other countries". She said its contract with the EU provided for the delivery of doses produced both on EU territory and in the UK. "However, we have not received anything from the British, while we are providing them," von der Leyen added, asking "why we export millions of doses of vaccines to countries which produce vaccines themselves and they do not send them back to us."
