he came out of the gate storming but couldn't preserve that kind of play over a full season. I remember vaguely that he scored consistently in the first 20 games of the season and then completely disappeared.

Jim Benning and his team went off the board by selecting Klimovich at 41th overall in the second round of the NHL draft 2021. Just searched for the consensus draft rankings for 2021 and found that Klimovich was ranked at 65. Klimovich's six goals in 5 games in the WJC under 18 certainly played a role in selecting him with the 2nd round pick. Not sure if Canucks had a pro or amateur scout in Belarus to watch Klimovich playing. I find it strange that Canucks come up with a development plan after Klimovich played a whole season in the AHL. I would have expected that they hand him a development plan over at his start in north america more than 1 year ago. Well, drafting him at 41 was a stretch and i am curious how he is going to deal with the adversity he is facing right now.

Jonathan Dahlen is playing in Sweden in the SHL with his former Team Timra. Just saying. Some prospects never make the big stage, even they've got talent, skill & good skating.

Here's what really has happened - I am quite shocked that funds from FTX clients were used to pay off debt from Alameda. -

Interesting quote from O'Leary: Days before, O’Leary said, he was looking to make sense of the liquidity issue on FTX's balance sheet. At the time, O’Leary said that he was receiving an influx of “inbound requests” from sovereign wealth and pension funds interested in helping fix FTX’s cash crunch. Bankman-Fried told O’Leary that FTX was looking for $8 billion. “That’s the kind of money that an institution or a sovereign wealth fund can put to work if they thought there was an interesting opportunity,” O’Leary said. “In financial services, liquidity events like this can be interesting investment opportunities if you think it's a legitimate investment and it's not an issue with the regulator.” But by then, Gensler said the crypto industry was “significantly non-compliant” and in need of more regulation. “The minute that occurred, that was the end of any sovereign wealth fund’s interest,” O’Leary said. “There was no way to get that $8 billion onto the balance sheet of FTX with the regulators hovering overhead.” O’Leary speculated that for FTX to remain solvent, the exchange would have needed between $3.5 billion to $4 billion. -
[Signing] Canucks re-sign J.T. Miller
Wolfgang Durst replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
we as fans have only very limited insights and information about what's happening behind the scenes. Would have been very interesting what was on the table from the Islanders. There were rumors that Canucks were close trading JT Miller to the Islanders on draft day. If I remember correctly Lou told the media to ask Allvin what happened at the draft floor. Lou wasn't willing to trade away one of their D-Men. From my perspective Aatu Räty and a 1st round pick would have been a great return for JT Miller. Would have given Canucks the opportunity to play Räty as Center in the Top 6. As mentioned we do not exactly know what happened on the draft floor between Lou and Allvin. Fact is that Islanders were in on Miller and wanted to bolster their forward group. -

Elon with a great response to Tom's tweet. As I have mentioned earlier main problem with Crypto was the missing regulation right from the start. With effective regulation in place such scams would have never happened. -

sounds like the next bih crypto exchange is on the brink of collapse. Crypto Investors made 90,000 disbursements from Crypto.com in the last couple of hours. CRO token lost 57 % of his value in the last week alone. $18, 1 million in crypto assets can't be withdrawn from FTX mainly from clients of Huobi (a crypto exchange in Asia). Luckily I got out of Crypto by selling all my ETH, Solana, Avalanche, Terra Luna, Near Protocol, ROSE and Polygon early in the year. Puh... -
After watching this video I really like Adam Fantili in the top 5 of next years draft. He's a center with great playmaking ability and can score from everywhere in the o-zone with his quick release.

It's impossible for new management to do more damage to this franchise than Jim Benning and his team have been doing to this franchise over a span of 8 years.

We're at around 17k for the Bitcoin and the big players are still watching what's coming. At this stage the whales aren't buying. Lot's of awful news over the last couple of months starting with the blowup of Terra, some big scams and now the collapse of FTX. Looks like the negative news stream isn't going to end. Crypto was a wonderful idea but failed due to some unacceptable business practices of some celebrities like the Binance owner. Some smart people in the space have called for regulation of Crypto, but authorities weren't able to put something noteworthy together. In the meantime big scams, collapsing coins and Crypto exchanges evaporated the credibility and trust, that is absolutely vital for every business to prosper. Disappointing. Lots of retail investors which bought Bitcoin at the peak at 60 k have to cope with massive (unrealized or realized) losses. I am quite skeptical if the players in this market can restore the trust and credibility that have been lost due to all these awful scams and collapses. I am going to buy some more shares of small canadian powerhouses. You can find some canadian powerhouses in VAN. You don't have to look across the border to find some nuggets. I am looking forward watching the rugby game Scotland - New Zealand at Murrayfield stadium tomorrow afternoon. -

Best thing about this signing is that I am now aware of the fact that Canucks have actually a right handed defenseman prospect in Filip Johannsson. I am kind of shocked to see that he was drafted #24 overall by the Minnesota Wild in 2018. Looks like he logs big minutes in the SHL with Frölunda - over the last 5 games he is averaging more than 20 minutes per game. Frölunda was the best team in Europe over the last couple of years having won the Champions Hockey League four times.
