  1. Will keep getting better as well. Need to trade a few players this off season. Stecher, Roussell, Ferland?, Leivo, Erickson, Benn all need to go to give the kids some room.
  2. Remains to be seen. Could be second round talent or could even be elite first round talent. Might take a few more years to find out. I certainly see some parallels between Gaud and Horvat.
  3. He defintely looked good last night. Looked like what we hoped Ferland and Jake would bring. Hope he can keep it up.
  4. Anyone still want us to pick Cassie Middlestat?
  5. The reality of this is Pettersson make plays while Horvat makes space. Any sniper can play with Petey, guys that thrive in space need to play with Bo. Miller Petey Brock Pearson Bo Toffoli Jake Gaud (eventually Kole)
  6. Hughes woo Juolevi Rathbone Brisebois rafferty In a few years should be amazing. Could see 4 of that 6 next year in some games.
  7. Well, you do not have to worry about sitting or playing Schaller now.
  8. No Pearson will not be in the top 6 or even top 9 in 2023. But Kole Lind will.
  9. Toffoli is a player. Schaller needed to go. But a second and Madden? This is a trade I would pass on.
  10. Honestly, I could see Tanev try the market to see if he could go to Pittsburg and play a season with Brandon.
  11. If you read up on him you will find articles saying he got his first concussion as a rookie (so 2014-15). Also you will see that the Hurricanes questioned his about the concussion last year and how it could not be pinned down to a single play and he admitted to hiding it from the team ( that is 2018-19). From that and the progression of concussions could we then maybe assume several hidden concussions in the years between? Add another concussion that seemed to be gotten in his fight in the LA game in 2019 (this season) and has lingered throughout this season. So at least three known concussions over 5 years by a player who has admitted hiding them (so maybe a few more). Back to back seasons affected by concussions with few games in between and a player struggling to heal from the last one (or has maybe had easy occurrences of new concussions). A player who last year probably played with concussion symptoms for a while. How is this player not a good candidate for LTIR resulting in retirement?
  12. Hey Alf. How is this materially different from "he needs to go on LTIR and retire"? Lol.
  13. Is this really comparable? A guy with 5 years of known concussion history who has admitted he hid concussions from his team before coming clean last year? Out a third time this year, the last two times from lingering issues from previous concussions. Would you try to come back from that? Or would you try to get past it one more time and never risk it again? If it takes a year to recover this time what happens next time? Cause they often get worse when you are on that cycle
  14. I disagree here somewhat. The ongoing history of this really means for Ferlands long term life he needs to go on LTIR and retire imho.
  15. My GAWG Jake looks good tonight.
  16. The Canucks defence has been better this year with the significant turnover. But as I look at what options we have moving forward we could have as much change this coming summer as we did last summer. Edler will be back, Hughes will be back. Myers will be back. Will anyone else? Will Tryamkin replace Tanev? Is Rafferty for real and a player? What is the next step for Briseboise after this year? What role will the other pure talent we have in Juolevi play next year? I see him as the Edler replacement long term. Those 4 are knocking on the door and Sautner has already proved be can play in the NHL and not look out of place. Then we have Benn, Stecher, Fantenberg, Tanev all ok the roster this year and in our control to trade or move on from. That is 12 d men that all could be on the team next year. With Woo and maybe Rathbone moving to Utica to replace two of the prospects. I forsee another year of change that will be another major step forward. With the solid young forward group and the goaltending group just needing a contract for Marky that we can expect to happen and just do not know term and $$ the defence is wild card that may move another major step towards contender.
  17. I still say he has another gear yet. Wait until he puts another summer in and see. Stronger, faster, better.
  18. Same age as Motte and Horvat. Obviously still developing and hitting career highs. Is an interesting find for the team and other guy that improves the depth. There is a reason why we are still playing so well with Sutter, Ferland and Leivo hurt. Depth. Maybe with Jake playing so well Jake moves up and Bailey could get a look with Gaud and Roussell. Jake looked pretty good with Petey.
  19. I think with Hughes, Juolevi, Rathbone, Rafferty, Brisebois, Tryamkin, Woo, There is going to be a lot of young d men to choose from in the next few years.
  20. Why has Brise never been a sexier topic? Having a great year playing with Rafferty as Tanev of the pair. Smooth skating cool defenceman with a great first pass. Not sure why this guy who is not getting hemmed in his own zone is not seen as one of the future solutions to the issues we are having at times this season on the big club.
  21. Another clutch goal by Jasek to add to a nice season. I just love the clutch young players we have and are developing.
  22. Now Motte is an NHLer, but he was also the weakest player on his line in college. While Gaudette and Madden have been the strongest players on their college teams.
  23. Of course. How would his pre draft WJC be pertinent to this conversation?
