[Proposal] Sign Him!! Jake Livingstone!

Who would he replace in the lineup? -
You're absolutely right Alf

With the Canucks looking likely to pick somewhere in the teens barring a playoff miracle, what are some players we're thinking of targeting in that range? Here's a few noticeable players I found that would fit nicely into our prospect pool: Tristan Luneau - 36 pts in 56 games in the Q. 2-way, 6'2 RHD. Denton Mateychuk - slightly undersized offensive LHD. PPG for Moose Jaw this year in the WHL Danila Yurov - I think he drops because of the Russia - Ukraine war. If available at 15 or so you take him and run Noah Ostlund - high motor high skill forward, I think in a redraft years down the line he'll rank way higher Kevin Korchinski - another PPG d-man from the WHL. "Escapability" off the charts a la Hughes Marco Kasper - strong skating 2-way center with offensive upside. Putting up decent points in the SHL this year. Has NHL size Liam Ohgren - absolutely ripped apart the J20 league in Sweden this year. Plays with a lot of pace and tenacity. Projectable frame Ivan Miroshnichenko - will definitely drop due to his condition, the question is how far? Cutter Gauthier - toolsy player with an NHL shot. Committed to Boston U next year Jonathan Lekkerimaki - just an absolute sniper. 7 goals in 26 SHL games as a 17 year old If I had my choice of all these players I would absolutely go with Danila Yurov. Marco Kasper a close second, I think he'll be a player.

(Proposal) Signing Miller and Horvat this summer.
Kuzy replied to tan's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
Why does everyone want to part with Pearson so badly? He's arguably outperformed his contract this year and been solid on whatever line he's been on. Wins board battles, has chemistry with most of our forwards. fast. good shot, plays a playoff style game, has 2 cups, only makes slightly over 3 million... he's great! I would argue we need more Pearsons not less. -
Thanks for the writeup. Out of these options I definitely like Sturm the most. Losing Motte was a blow for this team especially on the PK and I think Sturm would be a great add in the 1-1.5 million range. If Motte is willing to take a bit of a discount to come back (< 2 million/year) then I could see there being interest in him too.

BPA regardless of draft position. For me that's Slafkovsky but an argument could be made for Nemec as well.

I like the idea of a green and white Canucks themed striped across the width of the truck. Looks clean and professional, while clearly endorsing the Canucks without violating the legality of using their logo

I'll give my own rankings a go, albeit haven't watched a whole lot of footage on NA guys like Geekie, Nazar, and Korchinski. Been looking more at the guys from Europe. Wright - no matter what, can't see him going anywhere but 1st Slafkovsky - combination of size and skill remind me of Rantanen and to an extent, Draisaitl. Olympics raised his stock big time. Nemec - Best Dman available, and a RHD. Close to NHL ready. Yurov - Despite everything going on in Russia I feel like he won't slip past the top 5-10. He's too well rounded and advanced in his game to fall much further. Cooley - Admittedly haven't seen much of Cooley. From highlight packages, he looks like a cerebral player with great skating ability. Jiricek - This is the guy I've wanted the Canucks to target for some time. Just what we need on RD Savoie - Probably the most "exciting" skater in the draft. However he seems more like a perimeter player so there's a certain amount of risk here Mintyukov - He's been quoted as saying he models his play after Quinn Hughes. Good enough for me. Decent stats in the OHL. Kemell - Had an insane start to the year but has cooled off significantly. The offensive prowess is there, can he be more consistent though? Prone to whiffs and defensive zone turnovers. Lambert - The main reason I still have him this high is his speed and hockey IQ. Despite not lighting up the Finnish league, you can't ignore what he has done at the world junior level and with more time, I could see him lighting up the scoresheet. Not known for his defensive prowess.

Let's go Will! Hope to see him in on the Uhaul line next game. Bench Petan or whoever.

[Rumour] Tyler Motte drawing interest

Go have a look at other trades around the league… we got crap value compared to what other teams are getting. -

Motte for a 4th. Yikes. -
Why does it say Jasek at the bottom belongs to ARZ? Don't we still have his rights? On another note, I didn't realize Karlsson was having THAT good of a season - but he seems to be producing like a top flight prospect despite being older than most others on this list. Excited to see what he can bring to Abby.

I could see us targeting Luneau with our first pick - kind of fits the mold of what we're looking for plus should be in our range (picks 12-20). Kids a stud!

[PGT] Vancouver Canucks at Toronto Maple Leafs | Mar. 05, 2022
Kuzy replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Canucks Talk
Lol the kid didn't like it one bit -
Marc McLaughlin. 22 year old right shot centre putting up a PPG for Boston College the last couple years, while wearing the C! Also played a couple games for USA in the Olympics. Worst case he becomes a leader in the minors for us.

(Discussion) allvins first mistake

The trade deadline isn't until March 21, they're in no rush to make a deal right now. Sounds like they'll try to move him by all accounts, though. Probably get more value back closer to the deadline if more teams besides Edmonton end up with a goalie emergency -
Noah looks like a solid bottom pairing D man with size and upside, and on a league minimum contract... what's not to like? He's barely got any mileage. Before his bad injury years ago he was looking very promising and we're seeing glimpses of that now. Not to mention he's a hometown kid. I bet he sticks beyond this year and fills Hamonic's role... assuming we can rid ourselves of Hamonic who has honestly been terrible this year when he played

As everyone has said, Windows 10/11 built in antivirus will do a fine job. If you want an extra layer of protection without paying a cent, I suggest Kaspersky Security Cloud (free edition) - I find it does a good job monitoring for bad links and it'll actually tell you before you click if it's suspicious.
