  1. Voted for Tyler Motte the Fruitsation! Love your sauce Tyler
  2. Honestly that Loui trade wouldn't be so bad if we ended up keeping our 2021 1st.
  3. Watching Marchand cry in his postgame interview was the highlight of my year
  4. When Kessel has 2 years left on his contract, and it's time to extend EP and other young stars, do you really want Phil freaking Kessel in his mid 30s with a high cap hit underachieving and taking up cap room? Not overreacting, rather it simply not being a fit for our team given the contract timeline for our young stars. Why not target a top 6 player (without all the hotdog media attention) with a smaller, shorter contract, it would be much easier to move once we start feeling the cap crunch. And why trade prime assets for him while we're rebuilding? We need more picks, not less. We need leaders and character guys to add to our room, Kessel is not. Your entire post relies on the assumption that he'll be effective based on his "style of play". When his numbers start to decline, what will be your excuse then?
  5. I think we would have to add picks in this scenario, also Kessel is going to be way past his prime in the last couple years of that contract. No thanks
  6. Either way, would he not get a ring if the blues win?
  7. When you realize MDZ is playing in the Stanley Cup Final...
  8. Too much. Let them pan out first, no point in swapping lottery tickets and having to add more on top of it.
  9. Congratulations, you're the first to be accepted into my prestigious ignore list! Enjoy your prolonged stay.
  10. Seider all the way. I would say best d-man available after Byram, plus fits more of a team need in terms of being a RD and physicality/strong skater. Possible future pairing with Hughes? Yes please.
  11. I agree, I love his tenacity. He's the kind of player Green would covet for sure. I was thinking taking the depth dman back simply to open a spot for Hutton on their defensive depth chart as it seems like they already have a glut of 7/8/9 guys. Would someone like Paul LaDue "due" the trick?
  12. I'd be wary of that because of the larger rink, more time and space that is much more suited for speed and skill oriented players. You'll find players have much less time, albeit fractions of a second to maneuver on NHL ice.
  13. Every time I've watched a Canucks vs LA game Kempe seems to score lol. I think it would take more than just Hutton, and looking at LA's depth chart on LD, they have 3 NHL calibre dmen already (okay... Phaneuf is a bit of a reach but his contract says otherwise). My guess, if this trade were to go down would be Hutton, 3rd round pick, and B-prospect for Kempe + depth dman? Love Kempe.
  14. SJ has been to the West final 4 times in the past 9 years (including this one). In fact, that's the most out of any Western team besides Chicago and their dynasty years (who also made the west final 4 times). In other words, unequivocally one of the most dominant teams of the last decade. Your point was?
  15. Kakko outplaying J Hughes today in USA vs Finland... and it wasn't really close. TSN pumping up Hughes' tires saying it's not about how good they are now but how good they could be in the future but, I just see an overall much better player with just as much room to grow in Kakko. Won't be an easy choice for NJ picking #1.
  16. I know this has probably been said many times before... but watching Quinn on his only shift in OT against Finland just now... absolute game breaker! Transitions the puck deep into the Finland zone which allows Larkin all sorts of space to square up and shoot. We got an absolute gem, folks.
  17. This hits particularly hard as I currently possess a plane ticket that arrives in Colombo in literally 3 days. The hotel that I booked is a few blocks away from the bombings. Gained a lot of perspective just by being temporally close to the bombings in that area...
  18. Utica is terrible at developing our players blah blah...
  19. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we drafted Zegras if he were to fall to 10... I can't remember where I read it but I have seen comparisons between Zegras and none other than Jack Hughes... Zegras being more of a perimeter player of course, but without a doubt overflowing with skill. playmaking ability, and speed - all of which the Canucks seem to place a priority. Also can play C/LW. Benning has gone on the record saying he wants more scoring punch in the lineup, and this would fill a big organizational need if Zegras were to play LW for us. Wouldn't be surprised if Benning jubilantly runs up to the podium on draft day to announce Zegras as the pick... much like he did with Quinn Hughes. "I'm so excited for our fans right now"
  20. Q... simple and pretty uniQue.
