  1. About to be the highest paid player on the team too. Way to lead by example JT
  2. Good deal for Vegas, seems like a low AAV. I bet Hague really didn't want to miss much time and signed the offer that's been on the table.
  3. EP2 is a gamer. Won't be surprised to see him back up in the SHL soon
  4. Mintyukov with 9 pts in 4 games... man he's gonna be good for Anaheim
  5. Has Rathbone ever played on the right side? If Stillman plays well we could see something like Hughes - Schenn, OEL - Myers, Stillman - Rathbone with Burroughs or Poolman as the 7th.
  6. I am cautiously optimistic about Stillman, scouting report on him saying he's an above average skater and really physical, which is important to have on the bottom pair. If he can hold his own defensively and be a solid #6 I think that'll go a long way towards rounding out our D core.
  7. I’m throwing that out there as a ballpark assessment of where Horvat’s value might land IF we were shopping him. Maybe you didn’t see the 1st rounder I added from Philly’s side, they are expected to be one of the worst teams in the league this year. Lottery pick for Bedard plus a #3-4 dman to shore up our biggest need in exchange for our biggest surplus? A top draft pick in the best draft class in a decade and a top 4 young D with room to grow in exchange for a pending UFA with no extension? And I’ve heard the contrary, Sanheim plays all situations for the flyers and is considered to be their best defenceman. Horvat isn’t a top Center, he’s #3 on the Canucks alone. I think he’s great at what he does but he’s asking for way too much. Miller can do what he does just as well. At what point do we start considering moving him if his ask is too high, and who needs a young Center to build around? Well, Philly does.
  8. Does anyone know if these UBC practices are open to the public?
  9. Kuzmenko was amazing in the KHL at the position where Boeser usually slots in. I could see him piling up a lot of PP points
  10. Kinda fits the MO of the team wanting to get faster. Something's got to give though, we currently have 4 NHL caliber RHD in Myers, Schenn, Poolman, Burroughs, then we have Keeper, Juulsen right behind them.
  11. Really like Nielsen, Klim and Kudryavtsev again in this game. I can see all of these guys surprising and going beyond expectations this year.
  12. He was awesome at both ends of the ice. Looked a bit undersized though.
  13. He kind of fits the definition. Top minutes at regular strength, PP, and now a bit of PK as well. He's out there protecting leads at the end of games.
  14. Aman is really good. Might not score a lot but I see bottom 6 potential in this guy.
  15. Genuinely curious, and I'm all for it, are there many (or any) female refs in pro hockey? Not something I've really thought about but I've never heard of one so...
  16. Standouts for me defensively were Kudryavtsev and Aman. There was 3 or 4 times where Kudryavtsev broke up an odd man rush or cleared the front of the net well. Aman is pretty advanced defensively too, he skates really low in the D zone but uses his speed to match the opposing forwards when needed. Excited to see him in Abby
  17. I think Hughes was arguably above average defensively last year not to mention a total stud offensively. He's slowly rounding into a complete player. Agreed though the jury is still out as to what his actual ceiling is as he's still so young... although HHOF inductee Quinn Hughes has a nice ring to it
  18. Way too early for that, Allsvenskan this year and maybe SHL/AHL next year if things go well. He's still at least a couple of years away
  19. I'm not your buddy, guy (did we just become best friends?)
