  1. Only 1 mil more than Kadri and a few years younger. Go for 100 points next year JT!
  2. Good point. If Poolman is LTIR this season maybe that would help facilitate a trade?
  3. For sure, I see your point. I honestly hope Hoglander lights it up this year but I'm struggling to figure out where he fits in with our group - only real spot for him is on the 4th line as he isn't going to beat out Mikheyev/Pearson/Kuzmenko for that spot. On the other hand, I feel like most around here are undervaluing Lundkvist - the kid put up unbelievable numbers in the SHL as a 19/20 year old. Never got much opportunity in New York, averaging less than 14 mins a game on their bottom pairing. He's also a year younger than Rathbone and has more playing time in professional leagues. Just a year ago, he was considered one of the top prospects league wide. All I'm saying is it would be foolish not to consider clearing cap with Poolman's contract (or someone else like Dickinson), packaging a floundering forward who looked terrible last year (also our biggest surplus) for a young, projectable RHD with a good track record and is under contract for 2 more seasons at league minimum. I honestly think NYR would reject that deal, rather than the other way around.
  4. Poolman has tons of negative value, Hoglander will probably have even less trade value by the end of this year since there's barely a spot for him on the team. I say kill 2 birds with one stone (find young RHD, get rid of Poolman's contract)
  5. Man, that's a lot of money for a guy with one good season. Wasn't even 0.5 PPG before last year. Hope it works out for them.
  6. I'm assuming a ton of NHL GMs had Kemmel ranked a lot lower seeing as he dropped to 17.
  7. WJC is not a great benchmark for evaluating players, I think that's all @HighOnHockey was trying to say. Kemell was getting prime minutes and PP1 time and was used as a primary trigger man during such. Not to mention Finland a much stronger, more structured team overall than Sweden this year. There's a reason Kemell dropped to the bottom half of the 1st round, and that's that he carries a lot of risk in how his playing style might transfer over to big league hockey, being a perimeter guy who often tries to do too much. That will not work in the NHL. Meanwhile, Sweden played an incredibly passive offensive game the whole tournament, and their captain Andrae was their top guy with 8 points. Ohgren had 1 point in 7 games, he got picked well before Kemell too. All I'm trying to point out is despite Kemell having 12 points to Lek's 3, yes he put up points against junior aged players but it means almost nothing when evaluating what a player will be like 5, 10 years down the road. Deployment is the biggest factor in why there's such a discrepancy in points. Put Kemell on Finland's checking line and see how he fares.
  8. We already have a logjam of bottom pair or #7 quality d-men, Stanely doesn't really move the needle
  9. Lol. That's projecting at it's finest. I thought all the keyboard warriors went to Reddit.
  10. Way to cherry pick your one positive comment to justify your behavior. Nice.
  11. Clearly your "joke" was poorly delivered, that's how it came across. Some serious backpedaling here.
  12. Sorry, I'm with the pooped in your cornflakes guy
  13. Breaking: Negative person is surprised at backlash following negative comment. More at 11
  14. I've said it before but wow, everytime I see this highlight package I think of Pastrnak. We got a good one folks.
  15. Just leave OEL on PP2, he ain't beating Hughes for that spot. We have enough depth at forward now to ice 2 really good powerplay units, with the likes of Garland, Kuzmenko, Mikheyev, Podkolzin, Hoglander, potentially Rathbone filling out the rest of that unit.
  16. I'm pretty envious of their first round choices. Ohgren and Yurov are both big guys who play with pace and skill, really fits their mold. Even though they have cap issues I can see Minny being a total pain in the a** to play against for a long time
  17. Cam Allen at 30? Why do you have him so low out of curiosity? Most mock drafts and way-too-early rankings have him as a top 2 or 3 defenseman in the draft.
  18. SJ expecting to live in the basement of the Pacific division, I see.
  19. Anyone else getting Pastrnak vibes? Not the most explosive skater but a wicked wrister, one T, and knows where to be at the right time.
  20. Lek has an unbelievable release and honestly, that's the mark of an elite goal scorer, not how hard he can shoot but how fast he can get it off his stick. He's got 40 goal potential IMO.
