  1. Agree 100%, I'm just saying what I hope it'll be if it is 4 years.
  2. We're a rebuilding team. We shouldn't be giving up picks and prospects for hamonic.
  3. By the reports however it sounds like he actually has value to Benning.
  4. Where does it mention that he'll be coming over with a sweetener. Knowing Benning he'll trade something of value for Zaitzev.
  5. It's inevitable that Marleau is getting moved to some team. Why not that team be Canucks so we can get an extra pick?
  6. I don't think it's the canucks inability to get a 2nd but rather aquilini not wanting to pay the money for a bad contract.
  7. But how is letting Toronto sign Marner so easily good for other teams "business." I'm not saying teams should play hardball just because it is Toronto but Toronto is the team in this situation in this case.
  8. I don't think any team should be doing Toronto a favour. Getting Marleau is basically allowing Toronto to resign Marner. No team should do it unless something good is coming their way.
  9. Toronto has to get rid of cap space and this might be the easiest way to do so. If Toronto wants to resign Marner they're going to have to make room so teams know that and will take advantage. It's the other GMs in the driver's seat, not Dubas.
  10. I understand that many teams can easily afford Marleau's contract but it's more than that. This is a big favour we are doing for Toronto which is basically allowing them to resign Marner and their other RFAs. It should cost a lot for them.
  11. We can afford his contract and it is only until next year. We do not need to offload another contract. That will only hurt the value we recieve in return
  12. The whole point is Toronto is trying to free up cap space. Canucks can afford his contract. I would rather ask for a big return with picks
  13. To VAN: Marleau, TOR 2019 2nd (#53 overall) To TOR: Future Considerations Vancouver was unable to acquire extra draft picks at the deadline due to a lack of expendable valued assets and this is an alternative way of adding a high pick while weaponizing our cap space and only taking on a contract for 1 year. Toronto is able to get rid of Marleau's contract which gives them extra cap space to work with.
  14. It's unfortunate he's a left dman because we already have many of those. I just don't see Benning and co. going after another left dman like last year
  15. Does Bowem Byram do anything amazing though because that sounds like Juolevi when he was drafted.
  16. I want atleast a 1st and 2 2nds for tanev. I think hamonic should be a good comparable.
  17. No worries, just wanted to confirm since I want lind to do the best possible. Thanks for the stats!
