uhh.... lacking push back? Trouba took a run at EP40 and someone also ran BB at the end of that 2nd period. JV is left there getting crosschecked by 3 Rangers. They gained momentum from that and scored a goal. I know this is not the right time to be taking penalties. We really need these two points. But hopefully the intensity will rise back again in the 3rd period.

If Coleman was really hurt, he wouldnt be peeking at the ref while covering his face. That guy needs to be put into his place. I remember him fighting JV in JV's rookie year and afterwards, acted like he owned the world... (this was Bobby Farham) What a clown.... And who the heck is Hayden? Another garbage.. I really hate to lose in a game like this. I'm sure Nux players were even more emotionally stirred in this game. Hope they learn to punish them in given opportunities in our next meeting.

This season in general, I think he took a lot of focus away from other players. And that in itself is pretty effective I think. I don't think the team (mainly JT; not trying to take anything away from him tho) would have had that kind of success without EP40 taking away a guy or two to shadow him around the ice. His numbers don't do the justice in defining his season. (Not yet) Here is a scary good thing. We are above .500 without EP40, Boeser and Bo tearing it up out there. We are expected to get better as season goes on.

I also liked how Green experimented him on the 3rd line for a bit in the 3rd period. I know Motte had offensive flares in his collegiate career and he's still young and developing. He def reminds me of Burrows on how he worked his way into the line up, then, stable 4th liner then getting opportunities at 3rd. Not sure if he has the meanness of the Burrows but he does have similar wheels and better hands. Our top 9 will be pretty clogged tho. But it's always good to have different options.

Ernie just made Detroit look so bad.. Steve Yzerman won't like that one. -

Hmm I am not sure if he is a late hitter. He opts to not hit sometimes when he arrives late.. a lot of which I still kind of want him to make the hit. Ive seen late hitters in this league but I do not think Schaller is one. So I would definitely pick him over LE on our 4th line any day. He's not perfect but he's shown enough this year. Beagle line played well tonight. It's hard to refute that. If Schaller plays badly, I would trust Green to make the decision to take him out. But I wouldn't be the one starting to criticize our player. I lack the obvious credentials and knowledge in this game to make that kind of assumptions. -

He's a big body that lays in on the other team's D's which is what a 4th liner should be doing. You don't have to drill a guy or knock him on his ass every time to make an effective hit. Laying heavy body on them should pressure their D's enough, wearing them down. LE doesn't hit anything. He also lacks offensive production to play in top 6. He has good hockey instinct tho but that alone can't make him an effective 4th line player for an NHL team. (This is considering he isn't good enough to make it into our Top 9, judging from how the Training Camp went)
