We now have a Hobey Baker winner in our system. Very proud! What a week we are having lol.
-
Personally, the reason I thought Pens sent him away was because they had big players in bottom 6 who could look after their star players. If they have big body players like Kuhnhackl, Rowney, Sheahan, and now Oleksiak, they could afford to send Reaves away on a deal. It's funny u thot Reaves could look after Sid from Vegas tho.
-
Lol. ya I was using Pitts as an example. I haven't been watching LVG so I couldnt use that reference as I wasn't sure how he has been doing over there
-
Just being on the bench does wonders out there. Teams will think twice about jumping EP if Reaves is on the bench. That's what Reaves has been doing all his career. He isn't on line with Crosby or Malkin. Rather whenever he goes out there for a shift, he sends message. Prevention is always the best resolution!

Isn't playing too much bad tho? For him, maybe rest, eat and gym as much as he can would do him better.. I am also concerned the kid has played too much hockey this year.
-
Rebuild 90% complete from just that.
-
It sounds like odds are against him this year. Maybe he should stay in Utica until absolutely ready. I would rather see a perfect development than rushing a kid and hang him out to dry as he doesn't have the "right" players around him out there in VAN this season.

Rest up and Heal well, Brock. For the first time in years, you actually gave me a reason to be excited about on every game day. Thank you and I wish you swift and complete recovery.

JB must have figured out the Lotto. He's prepping early for Dahlin arrival. Making room on that Left side

I'd be happy if EP and Boeser could just consistently get ~80 point seasons while Horvat chips in ~60 points. Horvat does a lot of things not on scoresheet. I think 60 point season from him in yearly basis is a success.

Bummer.. Archie and Boucher has been solid. Dowd seem like a guy that could really challenge someone for a roster spot. I love Goldy but I agree with u on that he will get claimed if we retain Sedins as well as Erikss to push Goldy out of the roster again. Also, I am not sure if Pettersson will be with the nux next season. There is only half year left for him to bulk up 15~20 lbs. And I am not sure if that's an ideal scenario for EP to enter NHL on a weight that will be unnatural for him. Starting in Utica won't be a bad choice for his development. I also feel like Gagner (and maybe Granny, too...) will be in and out of the lineup while giving youngsters (Gaudette, Goldy and Gaunce) some NHL ice time. If Gaudette could pan out to be an early adaptor like Boeser, I cannot wish for more. But realistically speaking, it will take him some games to adjust and he will be in and out of the lineup for earlier part of the rookie season. He will turn out to be a good NHLer in the end tho I have zero doubt. Virtanen also won't play full 82 games. Out of the players listed in the lineup, he seems like the most "streaky", "expendable" player. He could still use some more time to learn the game from the press box.... Hope he takes another big step forward next yr.

Northeastern* Ya 199th for Primeau seemed like a steal. Watched the game. Tkatchuk actually looked really good out there as well.

Ya, I will leave it at this as well. EP will be a beast pro next season for sure. I would like to see him on the wing next to Gaudette (If Gaudette will be in Utica that is) Getting a high pick in this coming draft will also make things interesting. If we end up in Top 5, I think we will get a good player.

I am South Korean and I was offended by a post that was directed against my race. That probably is the only and biggest reason.
-
I don't disagree making fun of Kim Jong Un. As his philosophy is downright evil and wrong. But your comment was ignorant as North and South Koreans are two totally different countries with opposite political beliefs. Your comment was racist not because you made fun of an evil dictator but because you categorized two different nations into one category simply because they look alike. Your having Japanese spouse has nothing to do with this post and does not make it OK for you to be firing Asian jokes. sigh (You could do it to your wife if she's OK with it though)
-
Ya poor choice of words by me. I apologize for using that word.
-
1) I never said BC was racism-free. Don't take things out of context. And because others are doing it does NOT make it OK. 2) It's OK because he was joking? I think that's even worse as his intention was clear. (as is yours) 3) His comment was racist, period. I just spotted a mistake and brought it up as I should. Instead of doing a blind-eye, I think that's part of the reason why Asians get blatant more racial jokes against them amongst all minorities. I can't believe that I am defending myself for standing up against something that is wrong in anyway. Racism should not be tolerated under any circumstances.
-
Joking about racism doesn't make it excusable. Now I am even more shocked that you wrote it on purpose. Not sure where you are from but BC is a diverse province and your post did make me feel uncomfortable. Shame.
-
You realize the olympics is in South Korea not North. This statement is both retarded and racist. =_=

He doesnt play like Torres tho. He lacks the aggression. "Thinks" too much before making plays or hits. His frequent covering the D-man and staying high in the forecheck decoys his laziness/ lack of stamina. He stays in the high slot while his linemates hound the puck.. except that his horrendous positioning prevents him from ever getting the puck. Wake up Jake. Don't fool yourself thinking you are still our blue chip prospect. Play hard with urgency, learn the game and work your way up. Be truthful to your weaknesses and play like a true 4th liner and maybe you will get more ice time in which you could possibly develop other aspects of your game and move up.
-
Ahhhh that's right. Thank u for clearing that up. I was totally mistaken!
-
Gaudette didnt make it to the USA world jr. preliminary team.. I sure thought he would be considered a lock to make the team. What a day.
-
Thank u for all u have done for us, Dorse. Best of luck in ur future endeavors.
-
i think its gotta do with comfort issue. Sure it causes pain but if u had worn it for decades, itd be hard to change. Heck, I still wear shoulders that i wore since bantam coz 1. its comfortable and 2. i feel like i play better. And I am nowhere close to being knowledgeable in hockey as Forsberg.

If Boeser continues to get well adjusted and improves his plays (like he did in the past 2 games altho 2nd game was against pretty much a team full of prospects), he could crack the roster but I see nothing wrong with some more seasoning in the A for the first part of the season.....
