  1. Cap mismanagement bad signings Short sighted. That’s why. JB basically threw away a 2nd and madden he should have been able to Foresee our cap disaster ( that he created) was going to handcuff him this summer. we aren’t a club that’s so deep that we can throw away picks and prospects for nothing. The fact we can’t trade From strength at any position is proof. Then Losing 4 top ufas for nothing because Of His poor ability Especially with signingS And vision Has screwed the team And the ability to add depth. not sure how he still has a job.
  2. With what cap space JV gaudette and others still unsigned ( cap friendly) less than 2 mill. did Vegas and favour took the guy they deemed expendable when they got him more expensive Improvement/replacement. good trade But some are acting like Jim swindled Vegas they had to move money just like us the difference is they did it and got a pick in return we still have all the bad contracts.
  3. Madden and a second for nothing..... we aren’t in a position to be trading for rentals we are not a cup team and now we look more like a top 5 pick team. we lost yet another Ill conceived Short sighted JB deal. Seems to be his specialty. Once again the easily confused canuck73-3 this member gotta he the most confused on here.
  4. Lol. Cap hell comith. good luck with that in 4 years. bullet dodged finally bennings past ufa crazy spending has saved us from these albatross contracts. this is a contact Vegas will be paying to get rid of in a few years
  5. Cap friendly has us with 7.9 mill of cap space with 20/23 roster and that with no gaudette or JV and only 5 defenders rathbone as one of them. so unless some cap leaves no chance at getting him and that’s a good thing. cap mismanagement and ufa overspending has handcuffed JB But really who didn’t see this coming, well aside from Jim.
  6. Except then we have 2/3 of a top line and 1/3 of a second line. we currently have 4 top six NoT exactly trading from strength. in fact we really don’t have Depth/strength at any position especially when quality players the ones that actually have vale just walk but I guess that’s the cost of a playoff run it seems. well that and terrible contracts/ cap mismanagement And being short sighted when signing guys.
  7. Well we have done cap now that we know none of are ufas are coming back. Id still like to see toff back.
  8. Who will be the sucker Gm that over pays In term and value for this guy. Sure hope it isn’t us.
  9. I don’t see Barrie as an upgrade over tanev he’s a downgrade defensively. and he doesn’t have better size Either
  10. Good we need to start bringIng our own guys along and getting them to the show and stop filling up with plugs. Rafferty oj saunter briesbois Chatterfield rathbone I know I’m missing some of the not so young prospects we’ve had the farm For a few years now, rhd I know Yet other teams seem to manage without being Overly obsessed about having rhd. some in here would take a downgrade because he’s A rhd instead of playing the superior lefty.
  11. So 8.2 Instead of 6 for 33 points and 50ish games a season. huh Yeah totally misjudged that. Oh wait he had less points in more games already.atleast he’s played 82 games in a season. hasn't OEL been one of the worst +\- on his team.
  12. The story my comment goes to petro signing with LV for 7 years making him 37. thats why I put 35 -37 for 8.5 mill. put thanks for pointing that out.
  13. Edler looks like What I’m afraid of what OEL might look like at 8.2. In 4 years let alone 7.
  14. Yeah it’s all good and fine till your cap hit for a 35-37 year old I’d 8.5 mill To be a pressbox superstar (le) a bottom pair Or in and out of the line up because of injuries. The game keeps getting younger and faster The next 3 years these guys might be able to sustain there level of play but after that it’ll be shopping for someone to take these contracts on at a cost (LE) or releasing very good young players because there spot and cap is occupied by an unmovable guy playing out his retirement contract. No way to tell what they will be in there last three season It’s just speculation. but there is one undeniable fact they will be old in nhl standards And history says injuries will begin to become a major factor in there careers.
  15. Hopefully all is true and we dodge two handcuffing Long term mistakes. LV can have petro and a unmovable contract and OEL stays put or adds some teams to his list. 8.2 - 8.5 For declining players
  16. Pretty disappointed to see the effective Goal scoring 2nd line winger Leave. ge fit in so seamlessly and gave us scoring depth. some of us knew the Ridiculous over spending on ufas was going to cost us down the road and this year it looks like it’s going to cost us a starting goaltender a top 4 defenders a Top six forward And a few others. sure hope we don’t add a over paid over rated Dman and really screw this team up. we don’t seem like a team that should be throwing away 2nd round picks and Good prospects for rentals at this point in the build.
  17. Makes you wonder if the owners are tired of Dead money, bailing JB out of his bad signings. they gave him the cash and he squandered it on bad deals. Figure it out JB or they will find someone who can. Really I cant say I’d blame an owner for not allowing their GM to buy guys out especially ones they signed.
  18. He’s a ufa I’m sure his list includes anyone that will pay him. Kinds reminds me of Bob Essensa An older guy just looking to be part of a team and like he said “ wear the pompoms” for the younger guy. wouldn’t be a bad choice if he was cheap. Can’t see a 34 year old getting paid big bucks regardless of his playoff performance.
  19. 1.1 for two years that’s a no risk signing And makes him easily tradable. Even cheapskate or broke owner (ott AZ) could bite on that or Seattle might want to draft him a cheap high draft pick that hasn’t fit in in Edmonton.
  20. bummer I really like stecher. Some ones going to get a steal of a free Good young dman.
  21. Throwing away prospects and 2nd picks on a roster full of holes and cap strapped doesn’t seem like a recipe for long term success.
  22. that’s Great, look forward to watching him become a Regular and solid bottom six.
  23. Give it a year, Jim will make sure we’ll be there. but no cap issues here we can’t resign our players but yeah no issues. Lol.
  24. Because Jim need the cap space to sign new ufa mistakes. And try to get a older dman on a handcuffing contract.
  25. Cheering for Boston to win the OEL mistake Sweepstakes. he has buyers remorse Written over 57 million times for the next 7years.
