It's not always about keeping a guy long term, need to find the type of deals on players that if given an opportunity to succeed can be traded at the deadline in a year or two. Gathering an extra 4th from a injury riddled playoff team at the deadline is what the Canucks do not do enough of.

Duchene would top the list for sure. But wheeler has been awesome here in Winnipeg. Former captain. Plays center and wing and is a big body. Being a Jets and Canucks fan I'd love to see him head to the nucks. And Bailey had played for the no offense isles. Where even barzal can't even be utilized. I would think on a good cheap deal would be the perfect type of fit for a 3rd liner that can move up and down easily.

Heck yes to 2 of Duchene , wheeler and Bailey. Trade garland. Add a LD and a RD. Need some guys that can move to around to the top line or second line when they're hot.

Everyone likes Demelo it seems. Watching the jets i think poolman has more upside. The 500,000 k difference in salary is about right. They are very close. Id take poolman over demelo to be honeat.

A ton of doubt about this signing. It is a great contract 2.5 per for poolman. He is highly underrated. Was awesome here in winnipeg.

Whatever the lineup will be it will sure be an exciting season upcoming. After watching a ferland goals scored video and being reminded how good his shot i can't help but imagine boeser and ferlands shots with petey, as well as peteys protection.

That is the exact roster I am hoping for, for this season. Loui , Sutter and tanev are high cap hits and disappointments largely due to injuries but they are still 3 players who if included on the opening night roster give the Canucks the best roster in my opinion. They are also all effective defensively. Of course loui, if they can find a taker can go but if they can't he could be quite effective on the 4th line. I think the talk about his comments while In Sweden are blown a bit out of proportion in both the media and from the fans. Benning said he will talk to him but does that mean hes 100% being traded ? I dont know. Seems more likely to happen with 2 years left on his contract.
