  1. I heard he's colluding with the Russians. Cnn told.me
  2. Have been pleasantly surprised with Schenn. He's come in and like many posters have said, he's done everything fans wanted out of Gudbranson. Not sure why some posters are saying that Gudbranson is the better player at this point, I don't see it. What is Guddy better at? He's maybe a better fighter and thats about it. Skater? Schenns poor skating has been over dramatized, he hasn't been beat many times as a result of poor speed from what I have seen. Gudbranson was consistently being walked around. First/outlet passing? Schenn is a BIG improvement in that department. Gudbranson was a turnover machine and never could make a tape to tape pass. Hitting? Schenn's hit more in the last week than I can recall Gudbranson hitting all season long. Positionally, Schenn is stronger too, Gudbranson often looked like he was completely lost out there. I appreciated Gudbransons character on the team but he went far too many games without bringing any physicality and was a defensive liability. Schenn has been the exact opposite and has consistently been in there to protect the younger guys. I'll take that over Gudbranson's "better skating" and intimidation factor.
  3. The left don't care much for principles or the law. They only pretend to care with virtue signalling whenever it's a conservative that gets accused or does anything, no matter how small. The left shuts down speech on campuses because they follow a simple rule... If you disagree with my views, you're a racist bigot. (Not all Leftists, but a scary growing percentage)
  4. No one innocent got hurt because he got caught in the lie. He was perfectly ok with perpetuating this lie and two innocent people could of had their lives destroyed. He even faked sending himself an anthrax letter (which could potentially open up a federal investigation into him) People have done far less than him and gotten punished way more severely. He didn't even apologize and is still lying and maintaining his innocence despite the overwhelming evidence against him. Meanwhile, Roseanne got fired and lost her show over a twitter comment. Megyn Kelly lost her show for asking a question about blackface. They were punished more severely and they didn't even commit any crimes. Smollett because he fills out all the inter-sectional categories and is a friend of the elite left gets away without a trace (literally, the case has been wiped from the Cook County clerks database). Its disgusting.
  5. You don't think there's anything wrong with someone faking a hate crime? You don't think there's anything wrong with the fact that Smollett would of been perfectly fine with 2 innocent people going o jail and having their lives destroyed, had his lie actually worked? You don't take issue that this hoax became immediately politicized and used by dems and liberal media to just add more fuel to an already divided society? What do you think would of happened if the roles were reversed. If a white guy faked a hate crime against 2 black guys? There would of been riots in Chicago. Celebrity or not, this guy did a disgusting crime, and should pay the price. Having all charges dropped and losing 10k is pathetic and just shows how corrupt the judicial system truly is.
  6. The only sure things in life are death, taxes, and Tanev getting injured.
  7. My concerns about OJ have never been about his ability to play but rather his list of injuries (back surgery, 2 knee injuries) all before even playing a single nhl game. If he can stay healthy, I believe he'll be a nice addition to the team, but that's a big IF... I get the feeling he's the next salo
  8. Before the season even started I expected Boeser to have a down year. He essentially had no training camp coming off not only that serious back injury but wrist surgery. It's no surprise his shot has been off (kesler looked quite similar after he had wrist surgery and didnt practice his shot in the offseason) This should work out to benefit the canucks in terms of the kind of contract they can sign him to. I'm not worried at all with him in the future, if he can stay healthy and have a proper offseason, expect boeser to score 35-40goals next year. Quote me on it.
  9. His production has remained pretty consistent compared to last year, his goals just seem far less spectacular than last year.
  10. Watch ice guardians on Netflix. They talk about what a detterrant mcsorely and semenko were. Some guys were afraid to look at Gretzky wrong let alone throwing a dirty hit at him. There's a reason he took them with him to the Kings.
  11. If pettersson had mcsorely and semenko on his team, he would survive just fine.
  12. Two aliens on one line would be unprecedented for sure... Make it happen Jimbo
  13. Until benning came along, I barely followed our prospects. There was no one to follow (the gaunces, Schroeders, and jensens of the world did not create any excitement). World Jr's were never that interesting as we usually had nobody even playing in it. Now I follow whats going on regularly. Watch games in other leagues and world Jr's are great as we have multiple players playing for multiple teams. Benning and co have brought life into what used to be a black hole
  14. Gudbranson is a very poor defenseman but he brings a level of toughness to this team that we simply (for the time being) cannot go without. He keeps other teams goons pretty much in check, even if hes not fighting on a regular basis (look at how soft matthew tkachuk has been everytime we've played the flames... doesn't want to end up like hamonic). Guaranteed if he was out of the lineup, you'd see the pests from other teams taking far more liberties against our guys. I'd like gudbranson to either be a 3rd pairing guy, or replaced completely but only if we can replace his toughness/intimidation factor.
  15. "I dont really celly a goal. Just doing my job you know. Jk" Haha
  16. Is that leg/knee still bothering him? After the goalie knocked him down yesterday he looked like he couldn't put weight on his leg as he skated off the ice. Granted he didn't miss a shift, but that looks worrisome considering it wasn't even a play where it looked like his leg was involved.
  17. According to Ryan Biech's article from today regarding Hughes, it seems that as long as he plays 10 or less games, he will be exempt from the Seattle expansion draft in 2021.
  18. 2 knee surgeries and back surgery before ever stepping on the ice in the NHL can be reason enough to be concerned. I still have hope that he can turn into a serviceable dman for the Canucks, but those 3 injuries so early into his career have diminished the high hopes I had earlier. Age isn't a concern here, the types of injuries hes had so far are.
  19. was wondering the same thing... why the hell wasn't he on the 1pp throughout the tournament.
  20. He's clearly been one of the best skaters on the ice. He looks like he's skating out there in High Def while everyone else is running standard. That being said... I've seen him get out muscled on the puck multiple times and caught puck watching in his own zone quite a bit too. WJC isn't the be all tell all for players (EP didnt have an outstanding WJC for ex) but I think fans need to temper expectations on the kid that he's gonna be able to just come in and be our best dman from the get go. The talent and skills are there, but I think he'll need to be sheltered early on. On the powerplay he will definitely be an improvement for the team.
  21. Elias needs to send him his 12 step program for shooting.
