Oh ya pal? Well the jerk store called...

You're so weird. This 80s alien persona is kinda creepy.

Alf is definitely a troll. Used to annoy the crap out of me reading his/her/zhirs posts but after a while you just get over it and realize that this is an adult pretending to be a furry alien from the 80s. Alf goes over the top with everything

Can someone say what happened? Is dahlen okay?

You're either a Fedor fedorov clone troll or you're just terrible at analyzing hockey and players. I hope you're just a troll because reading your posts throughout this thread gives me a headache.

Some of those guys are just drinking all the haterade thats out there.

Connor mcdavid won the fastest skater comp last year with 13.454... Virtanens time was 13.471 wearing a Cape. I'd say his speed is pretty elite

Seattle Expansion Draft - Who do the Canucks protect?
Kushman replied to lukchin's topic in Canucks Talk
Hopefully they take Erikson, we can throw in some no line no cover passes for the Roxy for the whole team to sweeten the deal. -
I dont know if people are so much concerned with his play as they are with his injuries. At least that's the only thing that concerns me. One knee surgery, back surgery, and now potentially another knee injury (really hoping it's not serious) all before hes ever played an nhl game. That's what's concerning. He has the iq and tools to be a solid dman, but injuries can take that all away.
-
Should send Erikson down there to teach him all about the Little Things.

Lookin like they just walked out of the Amsterdam Cafe. Embracing Vancouver with full force

6th in the league for points by a dman and 1st for rookie dmen.

they really need to just sit Boeser until his groin fully recovers. As mentioned so many times before, groin injuries linger around and even when you're feeling better it can EASILY get re-aggravated and you start the process all over again.

What really impresses me is even in the select few games that pettersson has been kept off the score sheet, he's looked dangerous in all those games. Him being without a point was more as a result of him either simply missing on his opportunities or his linemates not converting on his setups and not because teams have found a way to shut him down. Have not been excited about anyone on the canucks team since bure.

Nobody on the team saw what happened. Otherwise for sure there would of been a consequence.

Ya, but can he do it while riding on a unicycle?

I thought his game against Minnesota was his best of the season, and then last night's game was even better than that! Hopefully this instills some confidence in him and he continues this strong play. He has the tools, thats obvious. He just needs to figure out how to use them consistently. Jake's been thrown into an unfair environment from the get go imo. A team that was starved for starpower, hometown boy and a #6 overall pick.... so much pressure for him to come in and perform right away like Boeser has and EP has. He was and still is a kid. A powerforward like he can become takes longer to develop simply because its a different game thats being asked to play. Imagine coming into the league at 18 or 19 and having to try and throw huge hits on full grown adult men and knowing there may be a fight if you take out a player too hard or its a dirty hit... Even if you're physically mature enough, chances are mentally you're not there, you're still a kid. Young super skilled guys can come in and play their game on just their skill alone, and don't have to worry as much about initiating physical play. I thought this season Jake could get 15-20g and so far that looks like a good possibility. If all things go right, I can see Jake becoming more valuable for this team once we're back in the playoffs than the regular season. His speed, size, and ability to knock people down is exactly what you want during the gritty marathon that are the playoffs.

Such a defensive monster. Here's an example of him doing all the "little things" 6 million dollar chump

That's why I said its concerning. I too had a groin injury years ago playing basketball (didn't warm up thinking im still a kid) took months to recover. Weeks would go by and I'd feel fine and think its recovered, as soon as I'd try running a bit or making a lateral side step, it would come right back. Mind you I didn't have a professional medical staff treating me but still, it was one of the longest recoveries I've had for any injury.
-
Only questions I wanted to hear answered is if he was having any symptoms after the hit, having any now, and is the protocol more precautionary or did he really suffer effects.
-
Groin injury is concerning. Those take a while to heal 100% and even when you think you're feeling fine, one wrong move and you're back to square one. Rather have him rest and make sure its 100% then playing on it and making it worse.

I really think EP's hustle and determination on the back check has rubbed off on Goldy. When he loses the puck or there's a quick transition the other way you can see how hard he works to get back and try to disrupt the play, something that was severely lacking before. Glad to see this kid figuring it out
